Since I could reach the kitchen countertop, I have enjoyed helping my great grandmother make our family’s favorite dessert, Heavenly Chocolate Cake, a rich irresistible moist homemade Bundt cake. Family members request this scrumptious cake all the time, especially on holidays, it is a chocoholic’s dream. Several years ago, my eighty-three-year-old great grandmother began a tradition on Valentine’s Day. As a widow, she knows how lonely one can feel on this day, so she invites her widow friends to her home for a special dinner and tops it off with the family’s secret heavenly chocolate cake. Taking part in my great-grandmother’s Valentine’s Day tradition, making this homemade chocolate delight for her special friends is truly an honor.
To be an accomplished baker you must plan and decide what specific kitchen devices, utensils, and ingredients you will need to make your baking a success. First, you must gather the necessary kitchen tools: one large mixing bowl, electric mixer, one 12-cup Bundt pan, a wire rack, and a cake container or platter.
