No matter how many times I had watch this horror film, it still gives me the creeps. The Conjuring, directed by James Wan is a based on a true story according to Ed and Lorraine Warren diary. This film is mostly about a demonic aura surrounding the house and is attacking the Perron family daily. The Conjuring starts off with a family of 7 moving into a new home in the countryside with their dog. As they start to settle down, they begin to experience some terrifying activities inside the house: the mother gets locked in the basement at night, the unknown bruises on her, the daughters get pulled from the bed, hair gets pulled and they start to see people who really is not physically there with them. Just when things were getting bad, the Perron invites Ed and Lorraine Warren into their home and shows them around the house. It was concluded that they had a demonic witch living with them trying to possess the mother to harm her children. With the help of Ed, Lorraine and the family itself, they overcame this hardship and has lived peacefully since then. …show more content…

The Conjuring shows lots of family interactions and bonds that gives out that vibe of family empowerment. For example, there’s a scene that shows the family coming together to help Ed and Lorraine exercise the witch out of the possess mother back to her original state. This scene really displays the line of thought of needing your family to get through times of hardship. The Perron’s natural care for each other gives viewers a happy perception that embraces the terrifying experience the Perron’s went
