At 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon, a vehicle carrying two men rolled off Awoonga Dam Rd at Benaraby and landed on its roof. Matthew Maddin, a passenger at the time of the crash, immediately blamed it on a tight, hairpin turn across a railway line. "It's just the corner. The corner's a sh*t corner," he said. But residents who watched the crash unfold had a different take on things, saying the accident was not the first the road had seen and far from the last.
After sifting through the evidence, the culprit of the accident can be determined. The accident occurred on 7:45 AM on the date of September 11, 2001. At at stoplight, four cars were stopped, but a car accident occurred. Based on prior evidence from other cases, the back car is usually the culprit. Dr. Otto Mobile’s interview shows that he was not in a rush, going to lecturing a class, and he was behind a dancing woman, presumably dancing to music. Also, Ken Notstop was not in a rush as well and he was part of a tree business. Following Ken, Kelly Sion was interviewed, showing that she had a song stuck in her head. Due to the fact she wanted to exercise before she was supposed to open the gym, she was in a rush.. Anita Newcar was in a rush due to the fact that she was already late to work, and she was behind a car with trees and a nest on the back. Due to the fact that Kelly had a song stuck in her head, she could’ve been the woman dancing in a car that Dr. Otto Mobile mentioned, showing that she was in front of Otto. Because Ken was the only person
Rumor has it none of the neighbors has witnessed the incident. But we as reporters think that there may be a couple of residents that have at least heard the unexplained commotion occurring at the Maloney residence.
Commonly, vehicular collisions are considered a negative occurrence. Dave Eggers hints towards this mindset in his short story Accident. Plotted in the middle of an intersection in 2005, the story commences with the main character driving his automobile through the intersection and striking an older Camaro. The three teenagers in the Camaro are fine, but the main character notices all the damage he has done to their vehicle and he fears an unpleasant encounter with them. Dave Eggers uses irony throughout the situation to illustrate the main character’s relief. The characters’ involvement with the collision emphasizes Egger’s theme that no matter how unfortunate an incident, positivity can result.
Crash is an Oscar winning, American drama from 2004 written, directed and produced by Paul Haggis. The film is about racial tensions and the effect it has on people showing their daily lives in Los Angeles, California post 9/11. The film asks hard hitting questions about racism and shows harsh realities that are normally avoided. Has an in your face approach, very raw and heart heavy. Shows reality that is normally avoided. Crash actually evolved from a real life incident where Haggis had his porsche stolen outside of a video store in 1991 in Los Angeles. There are a variety of races in this movie, hispanics, blacks, whites, asians and a particular persian family. Instead of
“It was 8 a.m. in the morning last March when it happened. [The driver] wasn’t drunk or anything and it didn’t have anything to do with the weather conditions,” said Carole Ferguson Page, a Massachusetts resident.
In society, any accidents are perceived as negative outcomes illustrate a terrible ending that has taken place but in reality it can be perceived as something positive in the long run. By obstructing the 2005 Camaro and the three teens, it occurred that no one was injured and everything was calm. Accident by Dave Egger represents how a bad decision becomes a point of conflict and symbolism within the theme of the story.
Racism has been introduced in America over a long period of time; moreover, since the beginning of the 18th century and it is still being executed today. Racism is a belief to make each race either feel superior or inferior to another. In Crash, racial prejudice is manifested throughout the film within many social groups. The film Crash demonstrates racial prejudice towards many ethic groups by displaying stereotypes, violence, and racial tensions.
After all these years, racism and prejudices are still present in our society. It seems as though there is not a day that goes by without seeing a story about a racially fueled crime or act of discrimination on the news. As much as people would like to believe that racism no longer exist and that stereotyping and racial profiling do not happen on a daily basis, the truth of the matter is that these prejudices are still very existent today. In the 2004 movie Crash, the lives of several Los Angeles citizens intertwine when faced with racism, stereotyping and crime.

In the Oscar award winning movie Crash, directed by Paul Haggis, a network of characters portray the lifestyles of different races in Los Angeles. In the movie, characters “crash” into one another, similar to pinballs, to spur new emotions and explain their actions. A main character Anthony, an African American male, steadily tries to prove why he does not and will not fall into the black male thug stereotype. He was slightly close minded and repeatedly had a negative outlook towards his environment. Anthony created contradictions between what he said and what his actual intentions were. His actions were guided by his environment and further analysis of them will prove his motivation.

Initial investigations indicate that, for unknown reasons MacIntyre driver lost control of his vehicle on the Exit 16 ramp of 128 and crashed through the guardrail. State Police said the pickup truck rolled over, ejecting MacIntyre, and then continued further into the woods.
The stories in Crash happened in Los Angeles, which is a metropolitan, multicultural and diversified city. According to Simmel’s theory, the modern city, like Los Angeles, is “cold”. People are very indifferent and have a blasé outlook when they are walking on the streets. There are barriers among people. In this kind of society, it is extremely easy to “crash” and bump into other people. Not only crash physically by car accidents, but also crash mentally among people’s minds, like cultural, racial and class conflicts. The movie used several cars crashing to indicate the conflicts among different cultures and the complications of humanity. I can see people are struggling between conflictions and harmony.
“In the front seat was Gregg, driving, Sarah, in the middle, and Robyn, on the passenger side. In the rear seat was Jeff, behind the driver, Haley, in the middle, and Rachel, on the passenger side. EVERYONE was wearing their SEAT BELTS, as is our family habit. EVERYONE walked away from this accident with only bruises. The only blood was Robyn had small nicks from glass in a couple of places on her right arm and right leg.
Dating back to the initial creation of the stock market, trading has always been a popular form of business in the economic society. Trading stocks is something that is practiced by people all over the world. Surprisingly, though it has always been one of the most popular ways to invest money, many people still don’t understand how it works. Some compare investing in the stock market almost as gambling money. A stock, depending on the amount of shares, is a portion of a public company. With owning that small percentage of the company, ones success in the market depends solely on the success of the company. The stock market is a financial market where brokers meet to buy and sell stocks. As a result to the popularity of investing in the stock market for many people, the country’s economy has lived and died by the markets production. Therefore, when the stock market has crashed in the past, the country as a whole takes a very
