792 Words2 Pages

As technology continues to advance in the modern world it provides many luxuries, not only to everyday life, but specifically for students. Technology provides today’s students with many opportunities for success in their academic endeavors, which may enhance their achievement. These opportunities can be seen in several areas such as; proper planning, teachers being able to adapt to individual learning styles, the constant communication it allows, and the originality of student’s work. By providing students with the many luxuries of technology they are able to not only see where they are going, but they are able to make a plan to get them where they strive to be.
Students have the ability to plan their valuable time more effectively and stay on a path they have designed for themselves. The types of technology that can be used are computer calendars, phone applications, or any other type the student feels will be best utilized for them to improve their success. By designing a timeframe that works with their schedule, they are able to plan out days, weeks or months and remain on track. Planning into the near or distant future will ensure that the student remains on their self-made plan to accomplish all of the tasks that they seek to accomplish. According to a survey conducted by Edtech magazine How Technology is Powering Academic Success, seventy-five percent of students say that technology helped them achieve their academic outcomes (Daly, 2012). After adopting a plan, the students can continue to decide how much time needs to be dedicated to school, work, or even their personal life. With a proper plan, students can also adapt technology for the individual learning styles they have.
