However, this can cause students to get behind when they do not understand a past concept upon which the teacher is building. The students should know to follow these standards when working with technology. It is important for all curriculum that involves technology to adhere to the ISTE standards to keep students and teachers from abusing the technology. When used properly, technology can be a tool to cultivate success.
There must be clear policies on technology to prevent the abuse of them, along with clear consequences for when the technologies are abused. These can help to ensure that the ISTE standards are being met and that the technology is being used efficiently in the classroom. Cyber bullying is a problem that has arisen since technology has become widespread. It is a new form of bullying that does not take a face. This is why teachers have to look out for it in their classroom.
