Technology has become a significant part of our normal lifestyle and has made it simpler for us to carry out many tasks. It has likewise played a part in the way we connect with others and keep a healthy interpersonal relationship on a day-to-day basis, whether it is making phone calls, instant messaging or video conversations. An interpersonal relationship is an attraction between two individuals that bring them close to each other and eventually results in a strong personal relationship. Technology is not only changing our style communication but how we interact with individuals, and although technology is appreciated for this, a few people have questioned whether it has negatively affected interpersonal relationships.
As technology changes how we view and do things, it is up to us to adapt to this new way of life. No more do people rely on handwritten notes as email servers are available, or writing to friends and family, as numerous social media sites and apps are at hand which makes communication easier and faster, as appose to …show more content…

Families suffer more than anyone else, as most families introduce their children to technology at a very young age and may not encourage them to express themselves outside of their gadgets. In that case, they become so emerged into their devices, they lose interest in what is happening around them. They show no interest towards family conversations and discussions, and rather isolate themselves from others, to interact online where they feel most comfortable. Due to this, it becomes challenging for parents to understand what they may be going through and offer the right advice or show sympathy. Family functions become just another boring family event which they rather not be, but instead, sit in front of the television, play video games or look at the pictures their friends, classmates or colleagues posted of themselves at another event or party, and not spending quality time loved
