No matter the individual, everyone can and does go to a grocery store. A grocery store is not only a place to buy food and supplies but to socialize with other people. Individuals buy all the food and supplies at the stores, therefore, we shouldn't have to pay for the bags our supplies go into. If stores added a tax to the bags used to carry purchases, many negative situations could be created. Grocery stores should not require a payment for the bags needed to carry the buyer's supplies. Grocery stores receive their supplies from other companies and businesses. Whether those companies are major or small town, paperwork is involved. Adding a bagging price is just a way to have more paperwork. I'm sure managers and owners do not like to do paperwork all the time. Their titles are managers and owners, not paper workers. However, grocery stores supplies can be priced very high in some situations making it hard for some people to buy. If there is a large demand for a product some manager may have the prices risen. Although, not all people can afford grocery store prices. A grocery store is a place to go and get necessities that an individual needs to live on. For a college kid or low-income family, that may be difficult sometimes to do. Adding a bagging tax can become a big burden on people that already struggle to get groceries. Grocery stores should not add a tax on the bags used to carry out an individual's purchases. Taxes may create more paperwork, create more responsibility, create conflict, and create difficulties for low-income individuals.
