Task 2 – Inequity and Injustice
A. Domestic violence is also known as intimate partner violence or family violence. It is a pattern of behaviour that can be displayed in many forms like physical, emotional and economic it can happen to anyone or at any age. It usually occurs in a domestic setting within (family or intimate partner).
B. One of the biggest concerns from domestic violence is partner death being killed or seriously hurt by the abuser. The issue not being talked about in society and decimated ageist if the victims do. Not enough support and government cutbacks also the issues of men suffering domestic violence not having support and discriminated against because of their gender. The other concern of those suffering domestic violence is physical, emotional, verbal, social, spiritual, sexual abuse. It can affect people of all sociological, educational and religious backgrounds it can cause the victim to have trouble in committed relationship it can destroy a person family and marriage. Advocating on behalf of an individual and/or family means standing up for those most vulnerable in society and ensure they have someone fighting for them when they can’t.
