What is tactical Game Models or (TMG), Tactical game model is teaching student and athletes the basic understanding of a game by slowing everything down so that the Students can stop and see what they are doing. It is not an understanding of how to watch the game but playing the game, for example teaching offensive and defensive tactics so the student will be better off. There are a number of sports you can use Tactical game model for; here are some examples football, soccer, basketball, hockey, chess and even track. When teaching Students a sport that they are new to teaching the style of Tactical Game Model is very effective.
The main purpose of Tactical game model is to focus on basic fundamentals of the game or sport which you pick to play, you will do this by letting your student play the game of your choices for ten minutes then talking about it giving them some type of understanding. You also want to focus on the development of tactical awareness and the ability to make decisions based on instinct; you will help them gain this by asking game related questions. Tactical awareness is the ability to see the outcome of a play or move before it happen and the effect. The outcome of all this training should be that you have given the player/athletes the basic skill level they will need to play the game and not only that but to be able to continuing to develop their abilities to play the game at a higher level.

I have played volleyball for 5 years. I have played school volleyball for five years, and club volleyball for four. Throughout my years of playing, I have recognized a significant difference between club volleyball and school volleyball. I have played for two clubs in my four years of playing club. The first two years, I played for a club named Platform Elite. The last two years, I have played for Iowa Select, and this year I am playing my club season with Infinity X. Personally, I prefer club volleyball over school volleyball. Club volleyball and school volleyball can be compared in three different categories: price, competition, and “politics” within the sport and its’ players.
Coaching is a very complex and demanding profession. It requires many technical and personal skills (Chamber, D., 1997). All coaches have their own style of teaching. There is no right or wrong method of coaching. Nevertheless, the coach’s philosophy determines his or her coaching aims and objectives, while having a huge influence on the athletes and it’s surrounding environment.
Lennard (2010) reminds us that the models merely provide an outline, a structure, and a direction. She also emphasizes the models are used to facilitate a method of exploration which is extremely important for client self-awareness and continual development. Coaching is centered on unlocking a person’s potential to maximize his or her own performance. Focusing on improving performance and developing skills is essential for an effective coaching outcome (Fielden, 2005). The use of a model can lead to greater insight and understanding by simplifying and clarifying this process.
From the early ages in history to the present day, sports have always been an important part of society. It teaches discipline, how to be a team player, how to interact with others and is a good source of physical activity. In specific, football utilizes all of these aspects of sports and it’s a great source of teaching self-restraint and perseverance. Some may say that football is a violent sport or it’s not beneficial in any way, but in reality it gives a person the basic tools needed not only for playing the game, but also how you interact with people in society.

Everything that I have learned from this course I plan to put towards my coaching career. Volleyball is not as easy of a sport ass most people believe it to be. It requires coordination, speed, accuracy, learning, strength, and other abilities along with the knowledge of the game and rules. Each person has a variety of motor abilities or an ability that is specifically related to the performance of a motor skill. With each motor skill a specific motor ability is required to successfully perform it. If two of my athletes have the same about of practice, level of instruction and motivation to do the skill then motor abilities will influence the level of performance success each person can achieve. Each person learns differently, some are visual, physical or mental for myself personally I am mainly a visual learner. Learning is defined as a change in the capability to perform a skill that must be inferred from a relatively permanent improvement in performance as a result of practice or experience. If I want to be successful as a coach I have to learn how to teach every type of athlete or learner. Some players may need to see me act out a motion or play, others need it written down, or need you to tell it to them while others need all of the above in order to understand and learn it completely. The researchers wanted to see “the relation of verbal aggressiveness and state anxiety (somatic, cognitive, and self-confidence)” between coaches and athletes in a sex-specific sport such as volleyball (Bekiari et al., 2006, p. 630). Results examining both sexes showed males have higher levels of somatic anxiety due to the verbal aggressiveness of their coaches compared to female volleyball players (Bekiari et al., 2006). These results could be due to the kind of training and competitiveness, but it still shows how the use of language can have different effects on athletes nonetheless.
