Ashley Davies is one of the most (if not the most) inspiring people I personally have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His business, Tablo Publishing, is a one of a kind business that aims on changing the way we publish books. Tablo makes creating and publishing a book a more social and engaging experience, all while making it an extremely simple and enjoyable task.

Ash started the company when he realized how hard it was to publish his own eBook. The amount of hassle, effort and stress that went into publishing his book made him wonder why there was not a system in place that automized and simplified this process. Therefore, Ash went about creating a process that made it simpler and more efficient for others to publish their eBooks.

The website was created through a partnership between Ash himself and a developer he met. Ash was responsible for the creation of the design and layout of the website, while the developer was responsible for the behind-the-scenes programming. The layout was to be simple, effective and easy to use. Which is exactly what the website is.

Users can choose between a variety of plans, each offering different amounts of royalties kept by the author. The user can create the eBook directly from the website, publish, have other authors follow their progress, save drafts and many more features. Once the eBook has been published, the author can track their book reach, downloads, sales, statistics and royalties.

This process ensures that the authors do not have to put in any effort when publishing their book, as from the moment the click publish; “magic happens”. Tablo assigns all of the behind the scenes requirements needed for publishing an eBook, all while the author sits back and watches the “magic” ...

... has one of the most innovative businesses in the world. Davis also believes in having “side projects” that take up 20% of your time per week, to vary activities. Whether it’s looking for new ideas, developing an app or just mucking around with Photoshop, side projects are where some of the most influential and effective programs have ever come from. For example Gmail was a side project, and the Facebook news-feed was a side project.

Ash also believes in realizing your weaknesses and when confronting other people and talking about your business, do not be ignorant and say that your business is perfect, but rather openly discuss the good and bad of your business as this is the best way of solving problems!

Ash is destined for great things, including a lot of success as his business is solving a problem that needs solving and he is leading the way.
