Yes, I usually watch the Super Bowl, as I am enthusiastic about football and I consider the event to play an important role in increasing the country’s sense of unity. Watching it provides me with the feeling that I’m truly taking on my role as a person concerned about American culture. Furthermore, I really appreciate the people involved in making the Super Bowl possible, as they provide the general public with the opportunity to see sports taken to a whole new level. The athletes involved in the championship final managed to get here as a result of giving everything they had throughout the season and thus need to be provided with the recognition they deserve.

The Super Bowl is actually a sort of tradition in my group of friends to get together and watch the event. Watching it is more like a cultural thing rather than being an attempt to celebrate sporting events in general. More than a hundred million people watch the Super Bowl every year and it usually is a main topic of conversations for many weeks previous and after the moment when it actually takes place. Ranging from the artistic part of the event to the sportive aspect of the game, the Super Bowl effectively triggers emotions associated with being involved in a community that puts great value on the idea of sport in general.
To a certain degree, I can say that the Super Bowl also works as a way to better connect with people. Watching it together with friends, regardless of whether they support the same team as me, is especially important when considering the way that it makes us feel as a group. We practically come together and get actively involved in observing each action and in speaking about both the game and advertisements shown during the

The social media environment has proved to be a particularly important channel when considering this event, with numerous advertisers promoting their Super Bowl commercials days before the game actually started.

Google used the channel with the purpose of adding a series of teasers of commercials shown during the game. While the Super Bowl and associated advertisements were a one-day event in the past, they have gradually come to spread over several weeks filled with messages of eagerness in

American Football is a huge spectator sport where offensive and defensive players will use teamwork and perseverance to try and score more points than their opponent. Football is highly respected in America, where boys will try and pursue the dream of playing in the NFL (National Football Association) someday; but if you look at an average neighborhood, you will find that kids and adults of all ages love to go out and throw around the pigskin. (Lerner and Lerner 275). One thing Americans will take pride in is the college and NFL football teams they root for. People sit down with a beer and talk hours upon hours of football and two individuals can get in a heated discussion in the local sports store of whose sports team is better. Surprisingly enough, one will find the most passionate football players at the high school level. Most boys will start their football career as a young child in football programs such as Pop Warner to get a foothold and to get those involved in teamwork and friendships. These programs are usually the start to someone falling in love with the sport and making it a career choice eight years later. Football is one of America’s favorite sports. When fall season comes around, people across America are placing bets, finding out where that new sports bar is, and buying wide screen T.V’s to watch NFL on Sundays. After their team plays, they will go out and reminisce what happened that Sunday. While thousands of fans are still pumped from the NFL games they watched; small towns across America are getting ready to shut down their shops and restaurants to have the chance to make it to the local high schools football game. Ray Glier, a reporter for the New York Times, writes about football in the small town of Appala...
The commercial that I chose as my favorite commercial from the night was the Colgate Save Water commercial. The creators of the advertisement used all three of the modes of persuasion: logos, ethos, and pathos to appeal to the target audience. Knowing that over 100 million people would be tuning in to view the Super Bowl game as well as the commercials, the creators knew what appealing approach to take regarding the audience.
The Super Bowl is a game that has been and will continue to be watched and celebrated by almost every American. Friends and families gather to enjoy typical tailgating snacks, while watching the national football leagues. However, the game is not the only aspect of the Super Bowl that grabs society’s attention. Super Bowl commercials draw viewers in by using tactics that are never seen in an average commercial. As time increases and technology further develops, do Super Bowl commercials such as Kia’s “Hero’s Journey” use different tactics to try to grab America’s attention or do they waste their time and money as Bruce Horovitz believes?
“NFL games are as much a part of Thanksgiving as turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie,” boasts a side bar on the NFL’s website under their Thanksgiving section.
When the U.S prepares for the Super Bowl, Americans become excited for two things, football and commercials. This February, the NFL had its 48th annual Super Bowl in conjunction with the highly anticipated commercials. There was one commercial released by a world famous soda producer, Coca Cola, which has created much controversy. Coca Cola took a unique take on the classic “America the Beautiful” song that has caused quite an uproar regarding prejudice, discrimination, and ethnicity in America.
Over the past twenty years, many things have changed and evolved to impact our economy. From cell phones to music to media, we are all constantly affected. The most influential aspect, though, in my opinion, has been America’s biggest game, the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl by all means affects our economy in every way, shape, and form. Sport is one of the most complex social institutions in American society.
Football is a culture and within that culture is the desire to make money. In the 2014-2015 season, the NFL made $7.24 billion. Many dedicated fans travel to the stadium on a Sunday afternoon to experience the culture of football: the tailgate in the parking lot, the hundreds of dollars they pay to publicly display their favorite team’s gear, the front row seats to the game for them and their best buddy, the hotdogs and beer from the concussion stands. Many fans will participate in the NFL’s lifestyle every week. But the question is, do they really care about the actual sport or is it just the comradery and entertainment that it
Have you ever been to an NFL game? I haven't, but I think we as a family should be able to go to an NFL game. We should be able to go, because I do my chores, I do marvelous in school, it would be a satisfying experience for all of us, and I will help pay for the ticket. If I were to go to an NFL game I would want it to be a Cowboy’s game. I do not care who it is against or where it is at, as long as I get to go to a game.
Football, one of the most beloved pastimes and fastest growing sports in America, is making its way into our lives more than we could ever realize. Our lives are surrounded by football. We watch professional football on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. We have collegiate football on Saturdays and high school football on Fridays. All while checking player stats and injuries for fantasy football, or for small talk among friends.

From the rivalries to the championships its truly one of the most exciting sports to have ever been created. This is why I love it so much, it is much more than just a game it has a much deeper meaning to it. From the outside looking in, many people do not fully realize the impact it has on each and every player throughout its history. Football has made me who I am today.
