Our country is called Sunnysand island. As you probably can understand, it is an island, hence the name. Sunnysand island is north of Australia, a neighbor to Wake Island, Midway Atoll, Johnston Atoll, and Hawaii. Wake island, Midway Atoll and Johnston Atoll are all islands. It is on the equator, so it’s very hot. Sunnysand is an island with a couple of smaller islands around it that are also part of the country. The people of this island are very resourceful for they have lots of rainforests. They have a lot of coconuts, coffee beans, brazil nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus fruits, peanuts, ginger, mangoes, cocoa, pineapple, sesame, seeds, squash, cucumber, vanilla, and much more. Sunnysand island is very rich in seafood because it is an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The weather is rather hot and humid. Some of the …show more content…
natural resources on this island include wood, seafood, clay, volcanic rock, lots of different spices and crops. The source of energy that they mainly use is eco-friendly. They have a lot of sunlight so they take advantage of that and use solar panels. They also use wind turbines around the beaches when winds blow off the ocean. The population of Sunnysand is ~1.1 million people.
Sunnysand island has a growing population because the weather is very nice so retired people move there and enjoy life. Again, the weather is very nice so the population doesn’t migrate. Everyone lives in bauers, which are little shack-like houses. There are some families on this island so there are schools, which means there are teachers and builders to build bigger buildings like hospitals and libraries(everyone builds their own houses because they are small). Libraries lead to librarians, hospitals lead to doctors and nurses. These are all jobs you would find in a regular city. The people of Sunnysand are multicultural because they come from around the world. Even though they come from all over the world, they don’t really have a unique or special way of doing things. They eat what they grow or find in the rainforest as well as the ocean. The official language is English, although again, they are multicultural and therefore allowed to speak any language of their choice. Since they are multicultural, people have to learn to accept other no matter what religion others believe in or
follow. The social structure of Sunnysand island is very good. There are no social classes whatsoever and the citizens work very well together. Family is very important to the citizens of Sunnysand and extended families are more common. When citizens do get into arguments, they usually are short and they don’t make a big deal out of it. The economic system used in Sunnysand island is socialism because production, distribution and exchange are all regulated by the islands as a whole. The money or currency used is called the Sand Dollar (SD for short). The symbol is . The citizens usually barter, but when they’re buying something more expensive(a horse or bike) or importing and exporting product, they use money. The political system used in this country is a direct democracy, with many lower levels of government for each separate city. When decisions are made everyone is included(citizens, the government, if necessary other countries/islands)
In the essay Island Civilization: A Vision for Human Occupancy of Earth , Robert Frazier Nash discusses the past and present human impact on the environment and offers solutions for the distant fourth millennium.
What are some of the native foods, and/or dishes that are special from their homeland?
The Fijians diets are mostly fresh since all of their meats and fruit is grown on their islands. For breakfast they eat eggs which they get from their chickens and fresh fruit such as pineapple, papaya, and coconut which they receive from plants they grow. Next, their lunches consist of sandwiches and vegetables and their dinners are full of fish that they caught that day. While the Fijians eat fresh and from food not processed in factories, Americans constantly eat food they purchase in a supermarket that is processed and full of chemicals and dyes. Americans buy their eggs, fruit , and meat from a supermarket which they do not fully know where it comes from. The United States is a first-world country and due to this that is why Americans buy their food in a supermarket. As a country develops some of the fundamental aspects of the country develop as well and that is why the food situation is the way it is in the United States. Daily lives also vary due to two reasons; Fiji is an island country where the United States is not and that Fiji is a third-world country where the United States in a first-world country. In the United States most people wake up to a blaring alarm on their cellphones. However, the loud obnoxious sounds of chickens at five a.m. is the Fijians wake up call. Also, in the Fijians culture women are viewed
McKeown’s book significantly traces the enforcement of the bio-power on the national border control system against the background of the expansion of capitalist global order, and thus further debunks that the seemingly neutral face of modern international migration is a discursive and institutional mask for coloniality. His arguments keep reminding me of previous insights on our modern world by thinkers like Foucault, Walter Mignolo, and Lisa Lowe, who all stay vigilant to the progressive and emancipatory vision from the enlightenment, or, the western modernity, by revealing its dialectic relevance to its opposite, the suppression and alienation of humanity from disciplinary regimentation of social life to colonial bloodshed and enslavement.
In the article "Island Civilization: A vision for human occupancy of earth in the fourth millennium" a very good point was made about how humans are not treating the earth with respect, however our generation still has a chance to turn the earth from cancerous to healthy.

Oak Island is a small island located off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. This island holds a big mystery. According to expert Joe Nickell, Oak Island has been called ¨ the world's longest and most expensive treasure hunt.¨ It is also one of the world's deepest archeological digs. There are a lot of events that have happened on the island that have led up to what we know today. Six people have already died looking for the treasure, but the legend says seven must die before the treasure can be found. Since more is being found on the island than ever before, many people think the risk is worth the reward.
Deafness on Martha’s Vineyard, phenomenon in which a disproportionate percentage of the population living on Martha’s Vineyard, an island off the southeastern coast of Massachusetts, U.S., was affected by a hereditary form of deafness. Madagascar’s cuisine can be clearly marked by its sheer simplicity. The food is prepared without too many spices, but the lack of spices does not make the food dull and bland. Cuisines of France, China, India and also East African and Arabian cultures have all made their influence felt in Madagascar. The traditional cuisine of Madagascar consists mainly of rice. The rice is called “Vary” and it is typically eaten with some accompaniment, which is called the “Laoka”. As you move down the country towards the southwest regions, you will get to eat rice that may be supplemented or replaced by ground maize. However rice is the main diet of the natives, and is available in bounty. The native people have become very resourceful in developing huge numbers of scrumptious preparations with this one simple grain.

It was in the 1945’s post Second World War period I learnt a lot about the value of food, digestion and wellness. At that time in the environment of my youth, home grown food was common place. Each household knew at least how to grow and preserve vegetables and fruits mainly utilising the Sun’s energy.
Multiculturalism is the ethnic and cultural diversity that exists within a certain area. Different countries display various forms of multiculturalism. The most common form of multiculturalism is whereby a citizen of a certain country is born overseas, or of the parents of the individual is born overseas. English speaking countries have a lot of multiculturalism in them. Just like the United Kingdom, Australia has adopted multiculturalism as a national identity. My essay explores how Australia appreciates and accepts many different ethnicities and cultures.
