Chapter one helped clarify grant terminology that I may run into while conducting grant research and filling out grant applications. This chapter also helped me learn how to set up a plan for keeping track of the grants I am working on and helped set up the process. Part VI The Part of Tens

Chapter twenty-two covers the ten tips for organizing your writing. I thought the best tip was to collect your information first then write. It stressed how important it is to have everything you need for each section of the grant gathered before you start writing. This makes it so that you do not have to stop and start the process. Chapter twenty-three covers the ten ways to personalize your request. I found this chapter interesting because it had some interesting suggestions such as sign your name in a green pen or have colored paper. This helps you stick out from the rest of the applications. Chapter twenty-four covers ten tips for handling a rejection notice. The best tips were to not cry and to not give up. I think that I will probably cry but will not give up. I think that every grant will be a learning process.
