It is with sincere regret that Thomas Smith’s position at the company, has been terminated, effective immediately for violating company guidelines. The violation of the company guidelines involved redeeming cash for empty cans and bottles that were property of the store. This action was deemed necessary as the former employee claimed the recyclable materials from behind the customer service desk, and was caught on surveillance cameras. This breach of faith is equivalent of stealing products from the sales floor. Although redeeming cash for recycling materials permissible, and encouraged, expending store property is strictly prohibited. We request that all employees take this into careful consideration in an effect to ensure this event does

Tom Robinson: Innocent or Guilty? In my opinion, an innocent man shouldn't be ordered to even step into an unfair court case. In the novel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Jem and Scout go through countless conflicts, including the trial of Tom Robinson and the rape of Mayella Ewell. Throughout the story, people considered Tom Robinson a mockingbird, an innocent man, and even an enemy. In chapter ten, Atticus tells Jem and Scout that it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird since they only compose music for people to appreciate.
Mr. Blake took over the position, which was held by Bob Nardelli who was forced to resign his post over the controversy surrounding his lucrative pay package. However, the underlying reason had just as much to do with his handling of the transformation of the company after he took the reins in December 2000 (Azzato, M.). With no previous retail experience, Nardelli's gruff management style is said to have alienated several key top-level managers.
The case of People v. Smith (1991) is a case settling the question of whether or not a past juvenile record could be used in the sentencing of an adult offender. The defendant, Ricky Franklin Smith, was convicted on his guilty plea to breaking and entering and being a habitual offender, fourth offense. His contention is that he should have been resentenced because the presentence investigation report contained an expunged juvenile record; he based his argument on Michigan Court Rules (MCR) MCR 5.913, now MCR 5.925(E) Expungement of Records, and believed that it could not be used and prejudiced the court.
By material, the three largest areas of recycling in Canada are organics, newsprint, and cardboard (Statistics Canada, 2008, para. 13). Organics include food wastes, and are the items that go into green bins. It was only recently in Ontario that green bin collection began on a regular basis, and according to a recent study, the program may have grown faster than initially expected. In 2007, t...

Was the trial fair? Could the trial have been changed if the person being prosecuted was different? Is Maycomb biased? With Tom Robinson’s trial it outlined the power of racism and how easily it can change the minds of people. It showed how racist the American South was back in the day. The reasoning to even say that Maycomb is racist because of the fact that the outcome of the trial was already determined before it even ended, Atticus and everyone even knew that Tom was going to lose. Another thing that can outline the racism in Maycomb and the racism in the courtroom is that the jury in the case would be very biased towards the case and maybe even fear for their safety because of people finding out that they voted not guilty towards Tom

Recycling is such a fantastic way for us to reuse the waste we once throw. Yet, not everything is easy to be done in this world. There many difficulties that face recycling process economically and socially. Usually In order to recycle, waste paper needs to be sorted and treated from any Impurities. Which means that companies will loss finance because there must be someone or something that could sort or treat these papers. Recycling is important in the effort to preserve our environment for future generations. We are running out of locations to put landfills. Recycling is a simple and effective way to reduce the amount of waste stored in landfills, yet many people do not know how easy it can be. For example, whenever I go to Shoprite® and I b...
While walking through the park last Sunday, I observed a shocking scene. There are two cans: one for recycling and one for trash. The recycling receptacle had only an empty Dr. Pepper can and a few used Ozarka water bottles. On the other hand, the trash can had a plethora of half eaten meals, wrappers, banana peels and disgustingly even bottles, cans, newspapers and plastics that could have been recycled. Because people do not understand or do not care to understand about conserving our resources, many reusable items are being put in landfills when recycling these items could help save the environment.
