Success can be perceived in various ways depending on the person. In today’s generation, we often associate success with either attained wealth, chosen career, or perceived happiness. However, should success be judged strictly by these few things? “The key to living a successful life is grasping that you are enough,” (Herriott, 2014). Human beings have the unique ability to create their own path for success, instead of narrowing it down to what society makes it out to be. An individual who is content with themselves and where they are at in life have found all the success that they need.

Certain individuals associate their success with how much money they acquire and their career, while others associate it with how happy they are in life. Individuals have the ability to choose what they define as their success. “Being successful means the achievement of desired visions and planned goals,” (Mueller,2016). Every individual has a different set of goals they choose to live by, therefore the definition of success cannot be narrowed down to just wealth, career, and happiness. You find many people that no matter how much wealth they acquire will still not find true happiness because they are lacking in other aspects of life that are at the core of their true desires. However, they are the most commonly known aspects to be associated with success. “when you know what gives your life meaning, and you live consistently with it, you achieve a level of profound success that no one can take away from you,” (Favilla, 2015).
