I Develop a Step-by-Step Method to achieve my goals, by asking my self “How am I going to achieve this goal?” Then, “What are the steps I need to take in order to pass my courses and make the most of them?!". I put a 5 step plan: 1- do the hardest tasks at first , 2-keep in mind the time factor, 3- reward my self after finishing every task, 4- identify my weaknesses, doubts and learning difficulties ,5- celebrate once a goal is achieved. I belive that having a natural inclination to learn and having a rich context of goals, expectations and motivation enhanced the quality of my thinking and information processing. I see that the information provided by the courses is personally relevant to my interests and goals, and by learning in a passionate way and invest my time in it, high grades will come by
To words meaning two different things have a way of relating to one another to create something new? Many things can be made to describe two simple words like ownership and identity. Ownership can be both tangible and intangible. When looking at how ownership relates to identity, people tend to look at aesthetic instead of how ownership builds moral character that leads to identity.
What is the relationship between ownership and self identity/development? This is a extremely complicated question. There are many theories trying to answer this question, such as, Plato 's claim the "owning objects is detrimental to a person 's character", whereas Aristotle argues that "ownership of tangible goods helps to develop moral character." To answer this question we must first ask, what is ownership? If this question is asked to friends, relatives, even strangers, we will receive many similar answers to this question. People will say something along the lines of, "the possession of an object" or "to be in control of something". However, we must then dive deeper into the question and ask ourselves, can we really possess an object if it can be taken
Our constitutional liberties referencing property rights have faded over the years by virtue of the over-reach of the federal government by their collusions and conspiracies among the different branches; thereby, infringing on the rights of individuals and the states. For example, the Constitution does not grant the national government jurisdiction over education, housing, agriculture, or energy; however, they have gotten around this by creating cabinet/committee level status (e.g., HUD, FTC, FDA, OSHA, SEC, EPA) in D.C. by Congress, administered by the executive branch with the court?s approval. James Madison captured the essence of federalism in The Federalist No. 45. He condemned the aggregation of all powers (legislative, executive, and judicial) in the same hands; whether of one, few, or the majority; whether hereditary, self-appointed or elected, may legitimatize the very definition of tyranny. James Madison, Property: The Founders Constitution, (Vol 1. Chap. 16. Document 23. 29 March 1792).
Imagine this, you are looking to buy a used car. You go to a car dealership that is very popular. They show you a car that you really like and you tell them that you are very interested, you just want to evaluate the alternatives first. You decide to go to an another car dealership, but this time it is a dealership that just started business. This dealership shows you a car very similar to the car you liked at the other dealership, and on top of that, it is almost $10,000 cheaper. Immediately, you know that the dealership is giving you a good deal and without hesitation you buy the car. A few months later you begin to notice that the transmission is going out in your recently purchased car. You go to the dealership and complain, but they say that’s too bad, you bought the car as is. You are beyond frustrated. You tell your friends to never buy a car from that dealership. If the company continually screws over their customers, the business will be unethical and once others find out about the poor business, it will spread like a wild fire.

Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...

My first short-term goal is to getting a good grades in prerequisites courses as it is necessary step to getting a seat in MRT (Medical Radiography Technology) program. Two of the most important study skills are setting goals and taking notes. A student may set a time goal, such as studying a few hours a week; set a general goal, such as trying to study hard and stay on schedule; set a specific performance goal, such as getting at least 80% of the homework problems correct. Another important study skill is taking notes. Students generally make two kinds of mistakes in taking notes. One is to try to write down everything the instructor says, which leads to confusing notes. The other is to copy concepts that they do not understand but hope to learn by memorization. Good notes are compromised of the following: 1) written information summarized in your own words; 2) outline the important concepts; 3) try to associate the lecture notes with the material text; 4) asking yourself questions and making up questions from the notes.
One of the best ways to follow a successful path is to set goals for yourself. They are important to keep yourself on task and to get to a desired point of self fulfillment. The issue can be how to achieve goals in a successful manner. The issue is "Although people may desire or intend to attain some outcome, they are not committed to that as a goal until they are willing to invest affect, cognition, and behavior in attaining it" (Traci Mann, 2013). This is why it is important to have a set path on how to accomplish important goals. I have chosen three goals that I want to accomplish to demonstrate a Process known as SMART, to help accomplish them. There goals are that I want to finally earn a college degree(personal), I want to make it into the honor society while earning my degree(academic), and I want to earn my degree in order to contribute to Autism research(professional). All of these goals range in the amount of time it will take to accomplish them. Some are long term, but I can still use the SMART goal process in order to achieve them. The SMART steps to follow are:
One of the three most appropriate On Course success strategies that will be best of use to achieve success for me in years to come is discover self-motivation. Defined by Downing as, “finding purpose in their lives by discovering personally meaningful goals and dreams” (296). Being able to use this strategy will be the key to my future success. Having motivation to do all the work given to me from my classes will keep me at a good grade. Passing my classes is what I need to do to reach my goal. I cannot do this without the fuel given to me by my motivation to finish to hard work and reach my destiny. Without my motivation there will be no desire to finish and accomplish what is really important and meaningful in life, and that is not what I want. A good example I keep in my mind to never repeat is senior year and the lack of motivation I had to finish up my last year. I ended with two C’s and that is very disappointing for me. Keeping this in mind will allow me to not lose motivation and keep thinking of the positive outcome because motivation is everything! Good concept to remembering motivation quoted by Downing, “…one formula explains much a...

In setting a goal, you set up a grand goal and then you break it down into smaller goals. This helps you to further monitor your progress on a smaller scale and helps you stay motivated and focused because each time you achieve one of the smaller goals, it keeps you inspired to achieve the grand goal. Set goals that are definite with a well-known target to achieve, always giving yourself a specific time-stamped to achieve your goals. However, ensure that your goals and time lines set are realistic otherwise you will end frustrated chasing castles in the
