“Stuck” in Burlington When most people talk about Burlington, they almost never have anything good to say. After high school, people constantly ask you, “What are your plans after graduating?” If you say that you’re planning on staying here to go to SCC, people often don’t have an encouraging attitude. Some would even say that Burlington is a place people end up being “stuck” in. Those words usually have negative connotations behind them. Who said Burlington is all bad? I am here to tell you a few reasons why I don’t think that Burlington is such a bad place to be “stuck” in, after all. Burlington has some beautiful sights to see. Whether you are spending a hot summer day on the Mississippi, shopping around town in the beautiful fall weather,

Kentucky spends about fifteen billion dollars per year incarcerating individuals from Beecher Terrace. Since the 1970’s the number of people locked up in the United States has grown from 300,000 to 2.3 million. Kentucky has been the center of this prison expansion. Charles McDuffie, Christel, Demetria, and Keith Huff all have something in common. Each of these individuals are repeat offenders, grew up or lived in Beech Terrace, and have some type of mental issue.

Imagine the senior year of high school when students are poised to enter college and become adults. It's a time of responsibility, of being on one's own, and of shaping lives by making daily decisions. One of the major decisions is where to attend college. Should a person stay close to home and attend an in-state school where people and even campuses are somewhat familiar? Or should the decision be to start a completely new chapter in one's life by attending a college farther away, with totally new challenges? I believe the answer is definitely to leave town.
In EDU671 the researcher begins selecting data tools to help identify the issue within the organization. Using both qualitative and quantitative data will help find and measure the area of focus. After analyzing the data received, consequently it was determined the organization had a major communication gap between leadership and employees. The qualitative data were used as a formative assessment to gather information on employee communication skills. Once the information was received the quantitative data served as the summative assessment to focus on the implementation of new communication strategies. After receiving both qualitative and quantitative data collection, the researcher can now focus on whether or not the data collected will help answer the research questions in the research action plan. Below is a list of the research questions?

I’m going to start out with the place I’ve lived my whole life Gresham, Oregon. It’s a pretty good thing having lived Gresham my whole life. Everything is super close like parks, stores, and schools. It was the best to grow up in opinion I got to see some stuff I should avoid and got to meet people that were helpful in my life. Also a plus of living in a smaller city is if you meet one person when you go to the park you will most likely see them another time. I have friends I played basketball with at Highland one year ago and still play against them to this day. There's a community more in Gresham, I think no one's afraid to talk to each other or ask for help and if someone needs help they won’t shrug them off. That’s one thing I don’t really see if other places everyone else has their own agenda and that doesn’t include knowing your neighbors. That’s insane, but it makes me happy that Gresham has friendly people unlike other cities. Maybe some of that is to do with schooling which is the next thing I want to talk about.
Hooking up was once used mostly when referring to your college days. But, scarily enough, it is now leaking into the young teen population. Newfound technology is allowing teens to meet for one reason and one reason only-casual sex. Many cases of these hookups going wrong are surfacing on the internet, and have horrific outcomes. Hookup culture is becoming more rampant with newfound teen dating apps, that are practically an open door way for sex. It’s harming the youth of today through forms of instant gratification and mind-numbing guilt. Not to mention physical dangers such as rape or a STD.
Throughout my education I have watched my peers force themselves to school, never having the desire to learn or wanting to be apart of the joys of education. I am proud to say that I have received the desire of learning. Learning isn’t something that is forced or pushed upon me. I have been able to learn because that's what I’ve wanted. As a student, I am proud of my achievements. I spread myself thin with work, school, and sports but I enjoy having much on my plate I like the challenge of learning in that I can learn about anything I wish. Throughout my education I have succeeded, I have been in numerous AP and honors classes through my academic career and I have also obtained academic awards with my time in school. I believe Mount Saint Joseph is going to suit me best for what I’d like to do with my future. I plan to persevere and dedicate myself to my work, MSJ has the best staff I can find that will help with this rigorous task.
No matter what you studied, we should all aim to use the tools that this great university has given us, and use them to help others make better choices, be it in their health, their finances, or education. I have learned that our degrees are not just about what job we get or whether it will get us a job at all. Our degrees are a culmination of the time and effort that we all took to learn new skills, concepts and theories so that we can go out into the world and make an impact in someone else’s life. We are more than ready. Montclair State University 's small school environment has allowed us to spend valuable time sharing ideas and learning from instructors and each other. Academic resources on campus have allowed us to perfect resumes and papers. Our MSU community is eager to learn and
When you’re in college you’re basically independent, nobody is there to hold your hand, and tell you everything is okay. It’s mostly being independent without your parents to backing you up, also you’re forced to join a whole new environment, and meet new people. College is not what I expected. Well I was expecting to go to a four year university, and dorm, meet new people, befriend my roommate, go to college football games, and have a great college experience, but since I didn’t have enough money to go to a university I decided to start in a community college, and work my way up. Going to Middlesex feels like high school again, but with a dash of independence, and many gaps in your schedule. That’s the only reason I like about Middlesex, but it still feels like you’re in high school. Probably it’s because school just started; probably at the end of the semester, Middlesex will feel like an actual
