My Business is going to be a mountain bike shop. I have decided to
name the shop “Mo’s Mountain Bikes”
The shop logo is;

I am calling my business this as it is a catchy name, and the logo is
very eye-catching, and could potentially attract potential customers.
I have reached the decision that my business will be a sole-trader as
I would like to have total responsibility over the business and my
employers. I would be prepared to take the risks of full liability.
The advantages of a sole-trader are the following;
Total responsibilities over employers
· I would decide what stock etc that I would buy
· I decide where the profits go
· I decide my working hours
· I don’t have a boss
· I will decide on investment/expansion
The Disadvantages of a sole-trader are;
· Full liability over business
· Less capital to invest
· There would be more burden on one person
· I would have to pay out of my own money in order to start my
business
· If the businesses profits are minuscule, I would have to take money
from my own salary.
· I would have a lot of paperwork to fill out.
· I have to pay VAT on top of all products whereas primary and
secondary sector businesses can claim it back.
My Business would be in the tertiary sector as I will be selling the
complete product.
There will be various job roles within my business.

Product: The company produces a physical good – Cookies/Crackers. In doing this, the company became diversified by the use of several product lines, not just one line of cookie or cracker. Also, in acquiring other businesses, the company thought it best to keep the originating firm’s brand name vice-carrying its name on the new product (i.e., Sunshine company). In thins regard, Sunshine’s Cheeze-It cracker line would not risk losing customers who are accustomed to that logo on the product or the name being used in association with the product.

This case study is about “Specialized Bicycle Components Inc.” known as Ride the Red “S”. Specialized was founded in 1974 by Mike Sinyard. According to Chris Murphy, director of marketing for Red “S”, specialized is for serious riders. He says, “The customer is buying the ride from us, not just the bike.” The company began to produce its own bike parts by 1976, and introduced the first major production mountain bike in the world in 1980. Specialized now has an extensive global distribution network of 5000 retailers in 35 countries in Asia, North America, South America, and Australia. They maintained a reputation as the technological leader in the bike and bike accessories. The formal mission is still the same since they established the company “To give everyone the best ride of their life.”
I chose to complete the social brand inventory on the Starbucks Corporation. Starbucks’s logo and only symbol is an image of a siren, a two-tailed mermaid. Starbucks does not have one positioning statement, but varying slogans by product or marketing campaign. Six popular slogans include “It’s not just coffee. It’s Starbucks”, “Life happens over coffee”; “Coffee is Culinary”, “Let’s Merry”, “Starbucks DoubleShot. Bring on the day”, and “Starbucks Frappuccino. Work can wait.”
The name that I have chosen for my lemonade stand is “sweet and sour tropical sunshine”. The reason why I picked this name is because everyone know when its summer, its lemonade time. When summer is here that is when kids, parents and everyone else who you can think off will come out to have a nice time and to have a tall ice cold glass of golden tropical bursting with that sweet and sour Island flavor lemonade. I do believe that my lemonade stand name is important when considering branding options because the name is where people wants to be with its around summer or even in the winter time. A name like that customers will never forget especially when every customer wants that positive shine of golden taste to quench their thirst.

Starting a small business is often one of the hardest things a person can do. Some people start a business out of pure fascination, or even as a hobby. Whether starting a business for personal reasons or simply the grandeur to make loads of money, everybody needs to have a plan. Starting a small business is no easy task and can take days if not months to prepare. The most important aspect to have is the tempura and heart to start a small business, as without passion, no business can succeed. One has to be his or her own boss, make dream, reality and be willing to market and sell a product. It takes a lot of discipline, long hours and hard work, something many do not have. However with the right willingness, passion and dedication a business can be the start of something big.
For some people, being the boss, and which by boss I mean business owner, would be the greatest thing ever. Most think you get to pick your own hours, make the most money, and make everyone do the things you want done. Of course there is work involved and it takes work to make it but the rewards will be better owning a business that succeeds. The ultimate goal is becoming a millionaire and retiring at the age of forty and just drawing money from business production. However they really don’t understand the work it takes to make it a million dollar company. When these people are finally able to own a business they get a rude awakening. I am in no way trying to offend the typical business owner when I say, owning a business can be a challenging task that can cause many complications in your life and if you’re not careful they can change your life entirely.
