Another visual media piece that is my favorite is the video game The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon. This is my favorite video game because I have always loved the Spyro series and it teaches important lessons in its gameplay. Its graphics are beautiful and I love the scenery and the sense that the player can play as a dragon. I love how the player can actually fly like a dragon and all of the characters are so interesting and diverse. This game always makes me feel content and relaxed mainly because of the scenery and the soundtrack. The soundtrack is beautifully done and I especially love the background song in the level “Valley of Avalar”. Ignitus, one of the character’s in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, states that an interesting …show more content…
And yet sometimes, when all seems lost, a light shines through the darkness, and we are reminded that even the smallest amount of courage can turn the tides of war”(The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon)”. I feel a connection to these quotes because Ignitus’s quote states how there will always be hope and to never give up because there will always be a way to solve what I’m going through. Sometimes I may feel like I need to give up or that I won’t be able to fix my problem, but in the end, I finally find a solution to my problem and that I don’t give up. Another scene that teaches a valuable lesson is when Ignitus says to Spyro “[m]y path ends here. But yours lies beyond this. Draw strength from each other and follow your heart… it will never fail you”(The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon). This shows how we should never give up and that we need each other for support to move on because that is only when will we be truly strong, is when we are together. Spyro and Cynder have a scene where Cynder turns on Spyro because she is controlled by Malefor, however Spyro will not fight her because he has nothing eft to fight for because Cynder isn’t there with him, but Cynder snaps out of it and states “[t]here’s always something to fight for”(The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon)
There are many inspiring quotes in, "I Beat the Odds" by Michael Oher, but one especially stood out to me. In the beginning of the book, Michael discuss his life in Hurt Village and describes how hard his life was he says, "The odds are stacked against you, but you can't let that be an excuse, you have too much to promise to let the odds beat you. It can be done. I beat the odds"(13). This quote made it really clear to me that I shouldn't let someone break me apart or tell me what I can and cannot do because of how I might look, this quote tells me that I can do anything I set my mind into doing. I will also apply this to my life by not making excuses if I can't do something, I will use this knowledge by doing anything that is a challenge,
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no help at all. Dale Carnegie believed that perseverance could overcome even the harshest obstacles. Perseverance is inspired by a purpose, an unsatisfied drive to achieve a goal. During a cataclysmic event, only people with a purpose endure.
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”
a quote “ If you can’t change your fate , change your attitude” which is how today
One of my favorite video games is Fortnite. Because it looks cool and you get to do a lot of stuff. Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the USA. A lot of people play Fortnite because it fun and you get to built things. Playing video games is bad and good.
Superdry is a famous retail brand in fashion industry. Although it is a brand that is originally from the UK, it incorporates the idea of Japanese fashion by designing its logo in Japanese characters ("A Brand Case Study: The Superdry Appeal"). It also utilizes its brand name to express the meaning of staying dry in humid weather, which is considered as incorporating the idea of high-technology design. Due to the fact that international consumers usually perceive products that are made in Japan as high-quality and trustworthy, it has a positive brand image toward the brand. When consumers saw the Japanese characters on the clothings, they are automatically attracted to it because they regard it as cool and decent. Furthermore, a lot of consumers
This wise quote is one that describes something many people, myself included, have experienced over time. No matter how much we plan and imagine, fate, it seems, always has a different outcome for us and we end up disappointed and yearning for what could have been. Coincidentally, this theme has also been portrayed in a wide range of literature. The popular novel turned play, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” is an excellent example of one. As parents of a high functioning special needs boy, two of the characters, Ed and Judy, each struggle with all the challenges and obstacles that have so unexpectedly become a part of their
Theodore Roosevelt used an analogy involving an arena to express how it feels to be judged when you are trying your hardest. The man in the arena is trying his best, yet there are people on the sidelines spectating his life and judging his every move. They do not understand what it is like to be in the arena and haven’t had the courage to try, yet they feel as if they have the right to criticize the man in the arena based on his techniques and successes. Roosevelt warns not to listen to judgmental people and to continue to strive. The man in the arena fails repeatedly, but he has the resiliency to try again. He knows that as long as he endures, he will end up with either victorious or knowing that he at least had the courage to try. Failure,
Life is short and it is up to you to make the most out of it. The most important lesson that everyone should follow and apply to everyday life is “never give up”. In the novel, “A Lesson Before Dying” by Ernest J. Gaines, the important lesson can be shown in the characters Jefferson, Miss Emma and Grant Wiggins.
Everyone has a role model or someone that they look up to who influences them. “No matter how many losses you take, get back up and face your fears over and over because after a while you’ll start to realize that they were never holding you back at all.” In this quote by Mark Fischbach, whom is more commonly known as Markiplier, a popular video game “let’s player” and commentator, he supports the theme of never giving up on yourself or your dreams because of temporary roadblocks. This quote is only one of many from popular YouTube funnyman that are immensely inspirational for his fans old and young alike. Myself being one of those fans. Markiplier has influenced me in many ways throughout the years that I’ve been subscribed to him, but my main focus for this essay will be most importantly that he taught me (and many others) to take chances, believe in myself, and to not ever give up no matter how hopeless a situation may seem.
Also, when things don’t go your way you fight as hard as you can to try and fix then, but if you fail you accept what has happened and move on no matter how flawed or corrupt it is. “Simply because we were licked a hundred years before we started is no reason for us not to try to win,” this is a quote form TKAM. This is a quote that is almost a perfect summary of the thesis: When things don’t go your way you fight as hard as you can to try and fix then, but if you fail you accept what has happened and move on no matter how flawed or corrupt it is. So we should all go off this quote and we will have a lot more success and will make the world a better
...n but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do.” [Lee, 1960, p. 149]
The music in the movie is well done. It fits into the story and enhances it without being distracting. Magnus Beite crafts dramatic and interesting scores that seem to be sung by the beautiful backdrop of mountains themselves. The music is appropriately intense in chase and fight scenes, while still being calming and serene in nature
This theme means a lot for me because I have had so many scenarios in my life where my superiors and bosses failed to stand up for other or me people I had work with. I have learned how important it is to make sure we stand up for individuals. In addition, as leader we need to make sure we are there to provide emotional and physical support for team members, friends and family no matter what happens. There is nothing worse in life not having a person in your corner.
Before examining how rituals have an important role in establishing gender in many world cultures, one must understand how gender is being define. Many believed gender could be biologically determined by their sex, such as their chromosomes but what they failed to view is how other factors define their gender. While the biology of sex is helpful in determining one’s gender, gender is the interrelationship between an individual’s sex, how one identifies their internal sense of self as male, female, both or neither, as well as one’s outward expressions, how one presents and behaves related to that identification. After defining gender, one can say that gender is the result of culture, culture constructs the appropriate expressions that further
