Your spirit animal can look at your past, and can provide a glimpse into your present and possible future. Spirit animals also offer spiritual guidance. The lion personality has the unmistakable presence of nobility. Moving with the unruffled calm of a cat and the dignified gait of someone in command, lions have no need to walk or talk quickly since they're never in danger of being ignored or marginalized. Every now and then, the lion will play to its gruff reputation by dramatically reprimanding a subordinate or impulsively making love to its partner with unsheathed claws. But underneath all its hissing and scratching, it's still a pussycat at heart. Lions usurp a disproportional amount of resources with their extravagant lifestyles, and because …show more content…
Their moods are demonstrated with abandon, from yawning in public to growling at impudent inferiors, and they feel no need to follow social etiquette. They're always the first to complain about bad food or service in a restaurant, but are fair-minded and equitable and are often called to settle disputes of others. When a lion is hired into a new job, things immediately begin to change. Alliances are forged and old rules are thrown out without regard for the feelings of others. In short order, there is a new sense of direction and a tangible sense of confidence that percolates throughout the organization. Perhaps because of their powerful personalities lions are not detail oriented, for the minutia of the mundane irritates the lion. It prefers to concentrate on the bigger picture, expecting its mate to do the 'trivial' tasks of shopping, housekeeping and childrearing. In business the lion prefers to surround itself with animals beneath it in the food chain, offering leadership, strength and protection in exchange for loyalty and hard work. Realizing that its survival depends on these animals it is protective and possessive with its employees, but at the end of the day insists on taking the lion's share of the profits. Lions are aggressive, predictable and dependable. Others always know where they stand with a lion, and their confidence and leadership abilities make them successful CEOs, company presidents, judges or lion
Under the program, all employees would learn about all the Zoo’s different animals. During this rotation, each zookeeper educated the other zookeepers on his/her lane of expertise. This program empowered the employees to demonstrate their enthusiasm for their expertise, but also displayed, to all employees, how important each employee is to the Zoo’s operations. The CEO demonstrated the “Team Leader” style of leadership. (Lussier & Achua, p. 78) Donna understood the needs of her employees and implemented creative ways to meet their needs as well as improved the productivity of the Buffalo
Symbolism, regarding animals is common for the Lumbee Indian. Animals represented certain ideas, spirits and characteristics. Instead of a preacher or reverend the Lumbee had a medicine man or shaman, which communicated with Gods. They were wise and were important to the tribe at a higher level. They played significant roles in decision making, traditions and ceremonies.
Flying Tigers is the name of a mercenary group of American pilots that helped defend China and the Burma Road from the bombing of the Japanese during World War II. The name of their planes was Tomahawks, but the Chinese called them Fei Hu for the sharks teeth painted on their planes. Flying Tigers were known as the American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force. The Flying Tigers did not see combat until December 1941 when the Japanese started bombing China.
The Egyptians often included lions to symbolize strength, leadership, loyalty, and war. The top of the palette also includes a human face with bull horns. This was done in attempt to represent the gods the ancient Egyptians believed in. These gods are associated with power, masculinity, and fertility.

Lions are amazing and beautiful creatures, however they are getting placed in canned hunts and circuses. These are two reasons that are causing us to lose more of these amazing creatures. When lions get to old to be in petting zoo's or even normal zoo's they end up in circuses and things called "canned hunts" where they get locked in a small space and get hunted for about one million dollars. Animals can just be put in a sanctuary instead of being hunted.
Have you ever wondered why the lions of Tsavo attacked the men who were building the railroad, or why Kevin Richardson is such good friends with lions? In Attack of the man Eaters it focuses on Colonel Patterson and how they’re being attacked by 2 lions in Tsavo. Meet the Lion Whisperer focuses on Kevin Richardson and how he tries to save the lions from canned hunts, and all the other bad things they do to the lions. In Attack of the man Eaters they saw the 2 lions as devils, because they were dragging people out of their tents and eating them at night time. In Meet the Lion Whisperer the guy thinks of the lions as friends, and plays with them on a daily basis.
Animals can protect us from things that are bad.In the book, Marley and me by John Grogan Marley protects the family by running to someone that tried to touch the baby. In the book travels with Charley, Charley goes crazy towards a bear for his owner's safety. As you can see animals can protect us from bad things.
Have you ever seen a labrador retriever? If you have you know they have short fur, floppy ears, and a long “otter” tail. They are great pets and very loyal. If you want to learn more keep reading.
Here I will be showing you why some animals are more dominant than others, and their adaptations. An example of a dominant species in the savanna is the lion. Its adaptation that it has is the fact it has sharp teeth and claws. A lion feeds on anything in its biome because it's such a fierce predator, and and has the speed and strength to beat out all those other species. The lion feeds on all the animals below it because it has very unique adaptations that allow it to stay at the top.
The passage stated," Lionesses also have strong parental instincts. Not only do they care for their own cubs, but they will take care of each other's cubs as well," This lets me know That the female lions have a functional relationship from caring for each other's offspring, just like a dog mother would do for a litter of kittens. The second passage also shows another way to prove that a dog would take care of kittens by stating," The handler began feeding Torque (dog) and Shrek (owl) in the same room and allowed Torque to sniff the owl and lick his feathers. Within no time the two became devoted companions, watching television and taking walks together." The passage then explains that the dog, Torque, is very protective of Shrek the owl, just like the dog would be protective of the kittens if she raised
I believe, the woman thought it was easier to gain trust of a lion because
The lion represents power, will and determination. Mother Durga riding the lion symbolises her mastery over all these qualities. This suggests to the devotee that one has to possess all these qualities to get over the demon of ego.
Lions mainly intrigue me because of their relentless killer instinct that they possess. With them being the only social big cats, the process of prides and pride takeovers also is interesting to me as well, it truly is fascinating how all lions understand and react on this natural process. Although lions are not threatened yet, they are currently listed as vulnerable and do show a decline in population. Humans definitely should do anything possible to save these majestic big cats, leaving them to become extinct would be disastrous for their ecosystems. In order to help them personally, I would need a lot more time on my hands. Unfortunately, they’re not part of my career aspirations and the only thing I could do to help them is to donate to organizations that do assist them. I also do believe that human development needs to give these majestic animals their own space. The biggest challenge this brings up is economically related, poaching is done for money, and the destruction of their land for agriculture is also related to money as
The Lion has long been considered the embodiment of the term “alpha male” in the animal kingdom. For thousands of years in human culture, the lion has been considered a truly iconic animal with strong associations to dominance and strength. Expressions such as “the lion’s share” and “lion-hearted” have become part of our daily vernacular and convey some level of power. Looking back in history to the time of Egyptian Pharaohs, the bodies of the sphinxes were constructed in a way that resembles a lion. Stone lions are commonly built and overlook things such as castles and battlefields as a symbol of protection and strength. Because of its intimidating size and ferocious appearance it has given the moniker of “The King of the Jungle”. Lions belong to the Panthera Leo species and belongs to the Felidae family and Pantherinae subfamily (Grzimek, 2004). Lions are also considered one of the “Big Four Cats” in the Panthera genus and are considered second in size and length only to the Tiger (Grzimek, 2004).
