In this this essay I will attempt to compare to what extent the given posters for the given film, Spiderman reflects the evolution of the superhero film and how the posters reflect the evolution of filming technology, by paying attention to theme, characterisation and overall appeal. It will also highlight which poster is most effective for advertising the film and which has best represented the idea of Spiderman. It could be said that poster 5 and 6 attempt to show a 3D image, focused on Spiderman himself, both including buildings - showing his ability to climb and swing from one building to another, using the powers he has gained from the spider which has bitten him. The images are taken from above, making him seem superior to those beneath …show more content…
The city appears larger and of greater importance, which shows what he is now capable of after exploring is new powers and abilities to their utmost. Again, posters 5 and 6 are direct, and kept fairly simple. Spiderman is the direct focus point. There is no direct evidence of any special effects which have been used, where as in posters 7 and 8 more colours are used, there is broken glass in the corners of the main frame, the texture of his costume is more precise, he is portrayed as something more than what he was. Each poster represents a basic theme. The characteristics of Spiderman are therefore clearer in poster 7 and 8, because of improved filming technology, special effects, characteristics and appeal. As the audience and era changed, so have the filming techniques which have been illustrated by each poster. In the beginning he is seen as an amateur and as an individual who is still learning and experimenting with the things he is now going to be faced with. People are still getting to know him, his intentions were always good but not everyone believed it. He evolved with technology and his audience. He became independent and more dependable. He became known as superior, loyal, and

I say this because as I stated above nothing negative happened, he never speaks of losing a war or finding people who didn’t like him or facing any difficulties what so ever. And throughout history some of the best leaders have formed out of diversity in their society. A lot of accounts in history that are written in third person explain more than just the positive side of a person’s life, and this reveals why they male certain decisions. But it also makes the account more believable. Everyone struggles it’s just something that happens in life, but he seems very intent on people knowing only the good side of him and all of the good things he did it makes me wonder what he is leaving out or trying to cover up to be honest.

We are currently living in the Golden Age of Superheroes. They dominate our cultural life, and have become seemingly permanent fixtures in modern media. Since X-Men burst onto the screen fifteen years ago, we have witnessed the release of over forty superhero movies. By 2020 we will have seen the release of more than twenty-five more. Today, the much anticipated film Superman vs. Batman has come to theaters. Though a plethora of superhero movies have been released, it is to the dissatisfaction of many, having long been exhausted by the stories of the Hulk, Batman, and Spider-man. Although I must agree that it is quite easy to get bored with the constant action, and flashing colors of these films, if one looks deep enough into the story they will discover universal themes and metaphors. Though they may be fighting off alien invasions, these heroes are also battling with their personal challenges, challenges which we can
How close does Man of Steel fly towards the Superman legacy, and are its changes for the better or for the worse? Many fundamentalist fanatics have mixed feelings amongst Man of Steel, and are critiquing director, Zack Snyder, due to the vast range in which the concept of the movie is from the origins of Superman. Some fanatics question if the Snyder fully understands the origins of Superman due to the far fetch theory of the film opposed to the comics. The disappointment has left mixed feelings amongst the audience. Some express that the twists were a nice addition to the films; while others feel as if the story should stay the same. The film goes off on a complete tangent from the origins of Superman. Zack Snyder has made voluminous inaccuracies due to the fact that Superman does not get his full potential powers until three-fourths of the way through the film, he has lack of concern for the citizens, and most importantly he executes General Zod.
In Superhero Worship by Virginia Postrel published in The Atlantic explores the glamour of comic heroes coming to live, and what that glamour really is. From paper to screen superheroes have caught the wonder of the American people. The most wellknown superheroes were introduced in the 1930s through the late 1950s, during the time of warfare and national pride. Superman was welcomed in America in 1937 to keep spirits alive during the breakout of WWII, fighting Nazis or the Japanese Imperial Army. These heroes that were created used propaganda
“The film was shot using a wider than usual lens so that it could be shown in I-MAX cinemas nationwide. Today’s audiences want an experience bigger than reality. We have to go that extra mile to give them that something extra.” Chris Nolan also insisted that the film should have a distinctive style which included making the film feel sincerely dark and sinister. Very rarely were the cameras sat still instead the cameras used very technical tricks e.g.: tracking, zoom. This film was originally promoted using a very unique style. Instead of paying for adverts they decided to promote the film using an alternative route. One of the ways this was accomplished was by de facing thousands of fake dollar notes by putting the jokers smile on top of the original face. A sane yet effective way was when many “Batman” recruits placed Joker cads into hundreds of books in libraries to do with death, this had the desired effect as many people became stirred up as to what this meant. The next alternative was to send out spam emails to the site named www.whysoserious.com. But when did Batman evolve as part of our lives. It was in 1939 when the world was introduced to a new hero. Bob Kane’s simple vigilante, Batman. The comics were e-introduced during the 50’s period. Yet due to Comic Book Censorship the violence was forced to gradually become weaker. The well anticipated Batman retuned in the 1970’s. Yet to intrigue a wider variety of audience he appeared more complicated and violent than previous comics. Today’s Batman comics show Batman as a real man with realistic and varied dilemmas. Due to these changes Batman is now one of the most original and adored comic book heroes. Nolan’s interpretation is a variety of the previous comics. It includes the violence of the First Batman mixed with the complexity and realism of today’s modern comics.
Every child in the United States has heard or read the Marvel and DC comics books. If you have not then you have probably have heard of their characters like the famous star spangled hero, Captain America, or the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Both Marvel and DC has influenced the children and adults of American in its darkest times. The great wars affected many by its poisonous grasps, and its victims sought comfort with the antidote provided by the marvelous illustrators and writers of comic books. Now their cinematic counterparts are here to inspire the 21st century. The Marvel and DC cinematic universes have similar content, they both have unique characteristics that set them apart.
One of the ways that make the audience aspire to be Spider-Man is the set. The idea of the director is to involve the viewer in the story; he does this by having a set that most people at home can relate to, as the family in Spider-Man have not got a lot of money and are an average group and a typical American family.
... an unsung hero when he was truly and evil man with unholy decisions on mind. His unique ways of blaming the rest of the world for his problems started with his wife was the plot to his whole scheme. His ways in making those believe that it was there conches that were unclean, that they were the cause of all this wrong. Although it was all his violent gestures to get his way in life.
