In the above analysis i will we comparing and contrasting two movie posters, The Lord of the rings and The Hobbit. I will be explaining what our my first views regarding each poster. Then I will be listing down some Similarities between both the posters. I have chosen these two posters as these posters were very eye catchy and genre of both movies is same. Lord Of The Rings (The Return Of The King) I have not seen this movie but I really likes this poster. When I see this poster my first reaction was that this will be an adventurous movie. The movie poster gives me some indication of what the main characters are and what their quest is. All the people I see on this poster have a major role to play in the movie. The colour palette of the poster is very basic which includes black, blues and bright white with a touch of golden in it. The colour scheme of the poster gives me a sense of darkness and mystery so the …show more content…
Secondly, this will be an thrilling action film and every person shown in the poster must be having an important role in the movie. The poster depicts that it will be an adventurous movie and their will be lots of violence in the movie as when I see the that every character is holding weapons. The layout of the poster is very clever as the images of the character are the directly centre stage of the poster to attract the audience. In the background of the poster we can see very bright colours like which kind off suits the title of the movie. Their are no tag lines in this poster only the title of the movie, the creators of the film and the names of the main characters are given below. Like other movie posters this also shows the release date of the movie. The font is very clear to read and good colour scheme has been chosen for the
Like a painting by Dali, you feel that every new thing you uncover has another waiting below it. The camera angles and lighting are tied into the film to turn the whole story into a smooth flowing work that is more pleasing to watch in black and white than most movies are in color. The overacting makes a few scenes in the movie difficult to watch, but the rest of the film picks up the slack.
Although both protagonists in the stories go through a psychological disorder that turns their lives upside down, they find ways to feel content once again. In Charlotte Gilman's "The Yellow Wallpaper," a nervous wife, an overprotective husband, and a large, damp room covered in musty wallpaper all play important roles in driving the wife insane. Gilman's masterful use of not only the setting, both time and place, but also of first person point of view, allows the reader to process the woman's growing insanity. The narrator develops a very intimate relationship with the yellow wallpaper throughout the story, as it is her constant companion. Her initial reaction to it is a feeling of hatred; she dislikes the color and despises the pattern, but does not attribute anything peculiar to it. Two weeks into their stay she begins to project a sort of personality onto the paper, so she studies the pattern more closely, noticing for the first time “a strange, provoking, formless sort of figure that seems to skulk about behind that silly and conspicuous front design” (Gilman). At this point, her madness is vague, but becoming more defined, because although the figure that she sees behind the pattern has no solid shape, she dwells on it and

From a structural perspective, movies and novels appear as polar opposites. A film uses actors, scripts, and a set in order to create a visual that can grab and keep the attention of their viewers. However, an author strives to incorporate deeper meaning into their books. Despite these differences in media, 1984 and The Hunger Games present unique, yet similar ideas.
Film and literature are two media forms that are so closely related, that we often forget there is a distinction between them. We often just view the movie as an extension of the book because most movies are based on novels or short stories. Because we are accustomed to this sequence of production, first the novel, then the motion picture, we often find ourselves making value judgments about a movie, based upon our feelings on the novel. It is this overlapping of the creative processes that prevents us from seeing movies as distinct and separate art forms from the novels they are based on.
The advertisement's rich red coloring immediately strikes a viewer with exciting and salacious overtones. The red lettering, border, cigarette package, and swimsuit all emphasize social and physical pleasure. The other colors' absence only strengthens the red coloring's implications.
man who is not to be crossed, as the colour red is symbolic for love
Film poster advertisements are meant to attract an audience, but no one actually pays attention to every single detail that is on a poster. Every detail that is put on a poster could give an idea on what type of movie it is and who is the main character, but some movie posters fail to do so and could also convey the wrong idea. Django: Unchained was released in 2013 and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The top billed Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson. Django was a slave who has recently been freed to help a bounty hunter find three dangerous men, who are known as the Brittle brothers. In exchange for his help, the bounty hunter will help Django save his wife, Broomhilda, from a dangerous plantation. The two following posters should reflect that the movie is a part of the action genre, show that there is some violence, and give ideas on what the characters are like, for instance who is the good and bad guy.

The trailer released for the film followed suit, flashing images of violence, guns, and heart-throb Leonardo DeCaprio, in order to grab the attention of the audience. In most cases, people do not realize that behind these scenes lies subliminally transmitted emotion. Through the instrumentation that guides the trailer, the audience’s perceptions of the juxtaposed images are altered. By changing this music, one can change the tone of the entire trailer.
While it's apparent that artists of the modern age owe much to the artists in the Renaissance, there are many differences between the two. There are some similarities however much of what the artist is expressing, and how they present their concepts are entirely different. Renaissance art appears to be more of a historic record, and heavily influenced by reason and mathematics. Modern art on the other hand tends to convey ideas, and emotions, leaving interpretation to the viewer, instead of being straight forward.
Through time due to advancements in material and painting techniques combined with the ever-increasing talent of the artists, paintings representing people have become very lifelike and are extremely realistic. Some painted portraits have as much detail as modern photographs. However, there are also paintings of people that are representational in which the artist is trying to convey a message. This paper discusses the two types through the comparison of two paintings, Abaporu and Portrait of a Lady.
A Comparison Between the Film Gladiator and the Poster The poster for the film gladiator is a form of still media. They have done this poster to draw people’s interest to watching the film. I believe that they have used some very effective techniques which in my opinion work very well together. The words in the caption ‘a hero will rise’ are all affirmative. I think the word ‘hero’ is very effective because when I read the word ‘hero’ I visualise a person who is admired for doing something very brave or great in the film.
Genre and Style of the Film The genre of our trailer is going to be drama. The trailer is going to be set and filmed at school, and the story itself is going to take place in the school environment. We wanted to make our film dramatic by showing the process of how the main character changes over the course of the trailer. At the very beginning of the trailer, we are going to show the main character significantly weaker than other people around him. This is going to be shown through the comparison of the main character and another character, who is perceived to be stronger.
