Source 1 explains how instability is the greatest danger to establishment and tradition. It goes on to explain how change encourages radical and rebellious actions that can disrupt order. The problem displayed in the source is that change brings bad things such as revolutions and problems in the way the government is run. As a whole, the source disagrees with change and feels society is functioning perfectly as it is. The perspective of which would line up with those of a classical liberalist. Classical liberalists emphasize individual liberty, free markets, and limited government intervention in the economy and society. Classical liberalism generally supports gradual and organic change, rather than rapid or radical change. This view is based …show more content…
That is change within society. In all three sources, it seems that the society that they are living in is more conservative and lacks progressive change. The main issue that was discussed in all three of these sources is the role that government plays in society. Each source takes a different view on government. Sources 1 and 3 agree on more. Those sources share similar political values. What are Reactionaries? Which is a political ideology that seeks to return to a previous era or social order. Reactionaries believe that societal changes, particularly those brought about by progressive movements, have weakened the social order and should be reversed. In source 1, the main point the source was trying to make is that change brings about revolution and radicalism. The source believes change brings out the worst in people. That within liberal society, maintaining the status quo keeps things running smoothly without interference. So the role of government needs to be minimal and not interfere. The source believes that if the government doesn't interfere, then society runs smoothly. In source 2 the man holding the sign is fighting back against Reactionaries. Reactionaries support more conservative ideas and less progressive. The man wants to see change for his sake. In the society where the man lives, there may not be many social programs or benefits for homeless people, and he wants the government to make significant changes. That people in his situation will be cared for and healthier. Source 3 depicts a society that has bare bones minimal government. It is similar to Source 1 in their beliefs of little government but takes some ideas to an extreme. They believe that only the strong should survive and the world doesn't change for anyone, so the weak must die. They say that once man started interfering in the natural order, we “keep alive and breed the unfit”. Man interfering in the natural order refers to the government
It should be clear to anyone that the role of the library in modern society is changing. No longer is (free) adulthood education confined only to that knowledge which resides within the bound paper of a physical book - the internet has usurped the book from its throne. However, does this development make libraries obsolete, and if not, what are they to become? Some sources claim that libraries should simply be done away with, that their welcome has been overstayed - in contrast, though, many others argue that although their role may no longer be the one it was created for, libraries are still important to many people as a gathering place, and have become an access point to the internet, or even just a calm, undistracting environment in which to read.
Conservatives have traditionally viewed society as an organic whole or a living entity whose parts work together in the same fashion the brain, heart and lungs do in a human body. If society is organic, its various institutions have been shaped by natural necessity and forces so as to provide security and social cohesion. Any attempts to alter this structure are thus fraught with danger as reform or change may lead to the collapse of society. Conservatives have therefore been suspicious of change and have generally adopted a pragmatic approach believing in cha... ...
Fast paced, and evolutive, technology has been advancing in huge steps, bringing alone new developments and modern ways on how people live their lives. For instance, reading, a fundamental part of education, is changing. In the past, most people needed the services of a library: either to look for reliable sources of information, a quiet place to focus, or access to media and equipment. However, in actuality, this has been incredibly transformed with —the almost globalized— use of new technological advances such as eBooks, devices designed exclusively for reading electronic versions of books. Of course, it cannot be neglected that our society is advancing with technology making our lives easier, but, as much as these tools are convenient to
Our society is constantly changing and growing. Among those things changing is the more frequent use of technology in our everyday lives. A couple decades ago you would rarely see anyone with any form of technology; books and libraries were the source to finding the answer to any question one might have. However, in today's society, technology has replaced those resources with a much faster way to get the job done. One issue that arises with modern technology is the impact it has on items and ideas of the past such as public libraries.
My papers typically consisted of a couple of sources jammed into random crevices of thought. I usually didn’t care what kind of source the quote came from, as long as the quote supported my thesis. Now, I’m well practiced in using scholarly sources and checking into the author’s background. The annotated bibliography helped me to focus on the reliability of the sources in conjunction with the background of the authors. I thought it was really awesome to be able to contribute research of my own rather than just regurgitating other people’s research.
Over the last couple of generations, the usage of technology has grown and should continue to expand nationwide. Although some disagrees on having technology to continue to share its knowledge because the world itself is starting to lose its quantity of face-to-face. While, technologies have given people to access information/communication, working, and making education more engaging. That is why technology should continue to expand more. Technology itself is giving people to easily access information such as news.
Rough Draft There are many ways one can define what technology is. “Technology is the use of science in industry, engineering, etc., to invent useful things or to solve problems.” (Merriam-Webster). Based off of this definition, many questions could arise from it.

On one hand, reactionary conservatives believe that the political state of a society should return to the past as they oppose modernism and most importantly, because they think that there are several fundamentals like discipline that are absent in our society (Kuehnelt-Leddihn, 1993). On the other hand, Anglo-American conservatisms is more flexible towards change, as they believe that change is something natural and that it should not be completely avoided as it is necessary in order to conserve things. One example of the flexibility of British conservatism towards change, was the support of the dissolution of the British absolute monarchy during the 17th
As today's society progresses the question of relevance in existing libraries has intensified. With the ever growing information available online, people have struggled to find the use in libraries as well as a reason to keep them. Libraries provide many things including free internet access, they provide a quiet place for people to meet up and libraries provide an accessible path towards a person’s education. Not only is it one of the last free public spaces but they also offer people opportunities that can’t be found easily anywhere else, such as, literacy training, job search counseling and training, and tremendous youth programs. Libraries are a key part of communities because of the endless services they provide that knit people together.
Maybe I am being a little unfair and whoever heeds these words and has already understood what I am saying, then I congratulate you for your wisdom. All that I have said is far from the truth of the reality because most of this has to do with you. You cannot expect to enter into the higher realms of consciousness as an individual identity. The Spiritual Man, which over-shadows you, knows this and waits for you to extend yourself to others, it waits for you to do something worthwhile.
Exploring the final frontier seems an impossible, almost ridiculous notion; the concept of space is daunting enough on its own. It’s infinite on multiple levels, filled with unknowns, and is still misunderstood even after centuries of studying it. These, however, are the very reasons mankind must endeavor to reach the farthest corners and absorb all that they can. The possibility of finding a habitable planet is far greater than one might expect, and that in itself should be an adequate cause for space programs to continue.
As the world evolves so does technology. Introducing new fast, efficient ways to obtain information. But, what good are these technologies if many don’t know how to use them, or have the means to obtain them? Libraries are indeed still relevant today, and play the role as a quiet, affordable, and welcoming place for any and everybody to go to for help or enlightenment.
Using Synthesis “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” – Wayne Dyer Whether we are taking a stroll in the park or climbing the highest peak in the world, we often go about life, seeing things from a box view. This implies that we do not like getting outside of our comfort zone, unless it is necessary to do so. Humans have a stance on every little phenomenon without always being aware.
I was always very fond of libraries growing. Regardless of If the weather was nice to go out to play or if it was unbearable, I would still rather be at the library than any other place. Libraries in my neighborhood were just a short walking distance and had events that were quite meaningful for me. People have yet to realize that libraries are constantly remolding to fit the future. There would be henna design contest for young teens who want to dabble in the arts, or early learning classes like toddlers for learning, and ESL classes for older adults who are learning english.
