“Sound Engineer Technician?” “Bro, what interests do you really find in that?” “Like, what do they do?” A sound engineering technician sets up, operates and maintains special equipment used in stage, television or motion picture productions according to instructions. In other words I can be one of those guys who gets to go out and find substitution sounds for the common things people may hear everyday or stuff people never had the chance to hear before. A couple classic examples would be a sheet of hard plastic making the sound of thunder when you shake or wriggle it, or the sound of nails on a tin roof creating the sound of a hail storm. But that’s not all there is to it. Sound engineers technicians complete tasks such as reporting on equipment problems and making sure repairs are made. They keep logs of recordings, synchronize music with and other audio effects with visual display, set up and alter recording equipment for live performances and etcetera. If you actually understood what a sound engineer’s job is to do, you just may be able to draw conclusions as to why I am interested in this career. I chose this as my future job career because it includes a lot of physical activities, problem solving skills and hands on work. And I love to solve me a puzzle. If and when I have this job, it will keep me and my brain cells won’t just rot away because in this job, I use them to solve many problems and loose ends when it comes to sound in a project. If I were to start working towards my career now, I should build a small room. With a small room there may be a few things I should keep note of that I have came across researching in an internet article. Sound isolation (prevention of sound transformation from one space so another.), ... ... middle of paper ... ...m about 75% ambitious to pursue my career because there are many dependent factors on how I get paid and my hours depending on who I work with. Today’s competition for jobs as a sound engineer technician is “fierce”. If I am to start somewhere right now in high school, I should attend classes such as T.V and broadcasting and or sound and production. When I finally leave high school, I will then be able to pick up from where I left off at collages such as The International Academt of Design and Technology, Miami International University of Art and Design or Miami Dade Collage. Most successful musicians know a hidden art carried out by the work of a good sound engineer; it is essential for a magnificent album. For the rest of us novice listeners and fans, we believe what we hear through our speakers or played over the radio are the true skilled professional musicians, soaring at their craft. Most contemporary music, from pop to R&B and acid jazz to the sophisticated realm of orchestral film scores, has been modernized by several inventions encased within the studio. The art of audio engineering has taken on new forms, from the nuts and bolts, "plug it in, and see if it works" era into the digital world, because of these wonderfully tragic solutions to a higher pace of life. A musician's art have been made solely because of it, and others have been destroyed and humiliated by it. The complex new inventions of technology shape the adaptive method of studio recording and production however caused a drastic negative musical degrading of our beloved art.
...uire engineers to have a higher degree of education, like if they want to work as the head technician the requirement goes from a bachelor’s to a master’s degree. Every year that the engineers work they are required to do certain tests to make sure that they are proficient with the equipment that they use in there labs.
Many of my friends pick their careers based on money and trade skills that they have. I am proficient in art and design, but didn’t feel like that was what I wanted to do for my career. Your career shapes a huge portion of your life. It is what you do every day, for a large portion of your life. It is what I have prepared for the past 12 or so years of my life. It is way more than just money or a skill. I wanted to do something unique, something interesting, something that would inspire me to be a better human, something that would make me feel, something that is challenging, something that helped others, and above all, something that was rewarding and made me feel fulfilled.
There a few things that one needs to consider before choosing to pursue a career in audio engineering. A recording engineer often has to work long, irregular hours. An engineer must also be able to work well under extreme pressure. It also helps if the engineer has a good musical ear, as well as an appreciation of music. Naturally, it helps to be fairly adept technically and electronically. If you feel like this is you, and you can handle working for a long time without reward (hopefully not too long), then a career in audio engineering could be for you.
Becoming a music producer can mean discovering and helping make the careers of artists. However, it takes time, effort, training and contacts. That's because a music producer has plenty of responsibilities during an album's production, both on the creative and the business looks sides. The producer supervises all aspects of the recording process, from helping to select songs to contracting with session players and deciding the sound of the song, selecting the studio and engineers, booking studio time and overseeing the recording budget.
Computer software engineers use the basics and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that enable computers to perform their many different tasks.

In today’s modern world the DJ has become a musician; the turntable, his instrument. It took fifteen years for this amazing resolution. DJ's have actually been around for years; mixing and scratching however, it did not come along until the late 70's or early 80's (“Disc Jockey 1”). A lot of people were doing this. But the main front line man was and still is Granmasterflash. Granmasterflash, one of hip-hop's founding fathers and the creator of the Quick Mix. He was the first person to change the arrangements of songs by using duplicate copies of records and manually editing/repeating the climatic part by rubbing the record back and forth (“Grandmaster Flash”). But now the DJ has changed. The kinds of DJ’s are different, the equipment is different, and the scratching is different.
When people think of the music business, the first careers that come to their minds are most likely singers, songwriters, and musicians. However important, this is a minuscule amount compared to the many roles that make up the entire music business. A very large role when it comes to music production is the music producer. Working constantly with artists to help them achieve new heights in their careers, producers are always looking to provide their assistance. High quality production means everything. When it comes to their significance, producers can almost literally make or break an artist. A music producer is the heart of a music production or recording, because the quality of the project completely relies on that producer.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.

The process of choosing a career is, many times, a difficult decision. Many factors must be taken into account while deciding a career. Such factors usually include pay, work environment, and most importantly, what the person is interested in. Becoming a musician would be a highly fulfilling career for the reasons of broadening one’s musical abilities, people enjoying something that an individual made, and traveling the country, possibly even the world, for musical opportunities such as teaching, performing, and writing.
My biggest reason for being a mechanical engineer is not because of the pay or the benefits, but because it is what I want to do. I feel like I can be happy going to work everyday as a mechanical engineer. I have always wanted to wake up everyday and be a happy person. Mechanical engineering will provide me with a challenge and a spark of joy at the same time. Mechanical engineering is my dream career. One day I will accomplish my goals. Through hard work and dedication I will accomplish the goals I have set out to achieve in life.
This change makes me involve in more other activities and eventually leads me to a successful Engineer. Education brings me a healthy body and mind throughout my life. Finally a career that embraces a program of continuous lifelong learning will ensure that I have a successful career. Because every moment of time, everywhere, under all circumstances something is being added to our previous attainments. My Career will be filled with many proud accomplishments, earning respect from colleagues, friends and a career that is fun and exciting.
