The social and economic dimensions of the human development index in a country are based on knowledge levels expected years of schooling, the standard of living and life expectancy for health. The HDI is the geometric mean of standardised indices for each of the three dimensions. In the following discussion I choose Zimbabwe as my developing country. I have chosen Zimbabwe because it has fallen into the category of least developed country (LDC) as the economic benchmarks of the country are low GDP per capita, substandard health and low education services that shows that Zimbabwe is (LDC). President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF Followers would rather see millions of Zimbabweans suffer and die in abject poverty and hopelessness than admit that they have failed (Anonymous, 2013). The Political in Zimbabwe contributes a lot in making the country less developed and are many parts in that still needs to be developed. In this assignment I will show the reader parts that are not developed in Zimbabwe, focusing in the following dimensions, Life expectancy; knowledge and education (literacy) and a decent standard of living. The aim of this assignment is to get funding to develop the underdeveloped areas within the country. 2 Basic dimensions of human

Another thing that I observed and recorded with an a frequency count was Jamie doing several work sheets. One of theses worksheets was a math specifically counting and the other worked on identifying objects that started with the letter R. After the teacher gave instructions on both the papers Jamie started to work on her worksheets. With in the time it took her to finish these worksheets (less then 15 minute) Jamie ask on of the adults if she was doing the work correctly about seven times. One thing that I would modify in the future is the instructions that were given at the beginning. I would make sure that the students understood what they were support to be doing before they started the assignment. I would also be very specific with
Overall, this college would provide a good education with three of my most beloved and favoured subjects for my career goals/interest. So, my keen interests are my three picked courses that have the grade requirements that I am available to overcome and exceed. Also, this college is very close to my location (7 Hadley Croft, B66 1DP) and provides a bus service in Oldbury and West Bromwich, which is a perfect combination to travel to this college. Overall, there won’t be any worry or difficulty of reaching Halesowen College thus this place forms to be an excellent place for me to continue my education for Year 12 and Year 13.
1) I believe that my theoretical curves don’t really match like figure 4 but then again it somewhat does. My immigration curve and extinction curve do hit each other once, but not like in figure 4 where they hit each other twice. Also my extinction curve is going up like in figure 4 and my immigration curve is going down just like in figure 4. So I guess you could say that my curves represent the curves on figure 4.
All throughout Colorado there has been many developments and expansions. One of these developments is the railroad system. Railroads were and still are such an essential means of transportation for people as well for industries involving coal and fuel, and many other things. There are many key players and developers that took part in revitalizing Colorado in the 1870s. Some of these key players that contributed to the territory’s growth were William A.H. Loveland, Edward L. Berthoud, Henry M. Teller, and William Jackson Palmer.
1.“If, for example, students were not ultimately rewarded for spending their early adulthoods pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees, or if the hardest-working and most productive workers were paid the same as the median worker, then citizens would have little incentive to develop expertise, to exert effort, or to excel in their work.”
This week in my HUMI 1 class, the one topic that we discussed in class that captured my attention was the state of being Naiveté. Although being naive is often looked down upon, it can also be something that you require in order to achieve your goals. When looking into the topic of Naiveté, the first person that I went to was my father. He was a refugee after the Vietnam war in 1975. Vietnam, even to this day, is not a place that many would want to live in. According to my father, during his time there, it was a filthy place to live and everyone there would often get sick. People were forced to work to exhaustion and starvation and diseases were the main causes of death. While all of this was occurring, he and his friends would often talk about
Social determinants of health has been a large topic for many years and can have a positive and negative effect on individuals, families and communities. (World Health Organisation, 2009) The social determinants of health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age, including the health system. These circumstances are shaped by the distribution of money, power and resources at global, national and local levels, which are themselves influenced by policy choices. Social determinants have many factors and in this essay education will be the main social determinant of health discussed and how this could have an impact on the physical and mental sides of health.
Paragraph 1: Summary The book was about Francisco and his quest to get into a college with all the challenges that come with it. It starts off with him being in the U.S. illegally and being afraid of La Migra catching him. One day they caught the whole family, but they set it out and got green cards for the whole family.

Economic development typically involves improvements in a variety of indicators such as literacy rates, life expectancy, and poverty rates. Due to the fact that GDP alone does not take into account other aspects such as leisure time, environmental quality, freedom, or social justice; alternative measures of economic well-being have been proposed. Essentially, a country’s economic development is related to its human development, which encompasses, among other things, health and education. These factors are, however, closely related to economic growth so that development and growth often go together.
Some of the prominent states that are consumed with poverty are Rwanda, Chad, and Democratic Republic of Congo. Rwanda is a landlocked, resource-poor country. The population is about 9.7 million, and 87 per cent of Rwandans live in rural areas. Population density in the country is the highest in Africa, with about 370 persons/km². The country is one of the poorest in Africa. Gross domestic product per capita was US$464 in 2008, and Rwanda ranked 167th out of 182 countries in the 2009 United Nations Development Program’s Human Development Index. Chad is also one of the world's poorest countries. In 2003 over 54 per cent of the population was living below the poverty line. For much of the population health and social conditions are inadequate. Chronic food shortages are widespread, and malnutrition levels among young children are high. These statistics are slightly higher in rural as oppose...
