Overpopulation
An increase in population is not just a problem of Pakistan, but all the countries have to look in this matter. With a higher illiteracy, unemployment, poverty and then an increase in population too, makes it difficult for the government to handle as they can provide only a limited number of resources. Since 1947, the population of Pakistan has increased by triple of the population at that time. This result in people committing suicides or they would rather die of hunger. On the other hand, the rich are not affected, they continue to bulid their skyscarpers where as the poor have to suffer. Such an increase in poverty rate, outstrips the resources provided by the government.
4. Unemployment
One of the most powerful causes of poverty is unemployment. Pakistan currently, has a 15% rate of unemployment, however it has been increasing every year. Many educated people are sitting idle looking for jobs, as they may be educated but there are less oppurtunities for them and so, they are forced to commit crimes to earn money to support their family. This unemployment has been increasing every year which is a downfall for the economy of Pakistan and has a negative impact on the society.

2) POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO PREVENT POVERTY:
1. Promoting Industrialization would ultimately create spaces for jobs, more people would be appointed, unemployment rate would decrease, which however would lead to a decrease in poverty.
2. Advancements in the agricultural machinery may help to increase the crop yield that would increase the resources for the government to provide to the poor which can lessen the death rate of Pakistan.
3. Pakistan has a serious need of establishment of laws to serve justice and equality and shoukd demote racism so that we all can live in peace. This can also be a plus point for the government as the poor would be relied on them and will co-operate with them in every aspect.
4. Poverty has been a problem all over Pakistan, however the government should make sure that they divide the resources equally in all areas sop everyone is served equally.
5. The Pakistani Government needs to eliminate racism that is the discriminatory policies which may be commonly seen in the Shia and Sunni
Although poverty has minimized, it is still significant poverty which is characterized by a numerous amount of things. There are two types of poverty case and insular. “Case poverty is the farm family with the junk-filled yard and the dirty children playing in the bare dirt” (Galbraith 236)Case poverty is not irretraceable and usually caused if someone in the household experiences “ mental deficiency, bad health, inability to adapt to the discipline of industrial life, uncontrollable procreation, alcohol, some educational handicap unrelated to community shortcomings” (Galbraith 236).Case poverty is often blamed on the people for their shortcomings but on some levels can be to pinpoint one person's shortcomings that caused this poverty. Most modern poverty is insular and is caused by things people in this community cannot control. “The most important characteristic of insular poverty is forces, common to all members of the community, that restrain or prevent participation in economic life and increase rates of return.
Without a doubt, proper education is the most essential factor to tackle poverty. Tribal government should put more attention to it; building schools, funds for books and proper training of teachers would be a good start. Everyone has the right to education most importantly, the children; an educated child will pass their education to their future. Education can transform lives, and it can also break the cycle of poverty because it is the most important element for progression of a nation.
While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because there was economic growth and the standard of living did improve, it was actually a negative thing as society. Industrialization’s negative effects were long work hour with little, low pay and separated family life unfair labor, working rights.
One of the main causes of poverty is a lack of money. There are some families that do have at least one person employed in the household but the money earned is not enough to provide for the family. Tough decisions such as paying rent buying groceries become a daily challenge for struggling households. Those living in households headed by people with no high school degree are the most likely to enter poverty. Limited options in the job market make it hard for those without degrees the ability to find jobs that will pay above minimum wage. Many Americans earn less than the nation’s median income which hinders most Americans from living a life free of hunger. Children who grow up in poverty suffer more persistent, frequent, and severe health problems than do children who grow up under better financial circumstances. Children of poverty are at an extreme disadvantage and cycle ends up repeating itself until the pattern is somehow
Poverty is not just an issue reserved for third world countries. Instead, poverty is a multifaceted issue that even the most developed nations must battle
Everyone knows what the word poverty means. It means poor, unable to buy the necessities to survive in today's world. We do not realize how easy it is for a person to fall into poverty: A lost job, a sudden illness, a death in the family or the endless cycle of being born into poverty and not knowing how to overcome it. There are so many children in poverty and a family's structure can effect the outcome. Most of the people who are at the poverty level need some type of help to overcome the obstacles. There are mane issues that deal with poverty and many things that can be done to stop it.
Poverty is defined with the word destitution. Destitution, however, isn’t bound to just one definition. The word means to have little or nothing, but also is abandoned and left helpless. With these definitions, we can make an assumption that it is tied to a sense of lack, something that no longer exists, or something that is missing. In Macbeth, Macbeth illustrates an emotional and ethical poverty due to his constant curiosity or fear of his own future.
One of the main causes of poverty is the lack of education. The U.S. education system denies students in poverty the opportunities and access it affords to most other students. Without good education, most people would encounter challenges in finding income-generating work, especially when there are few employment opportunities during an economic downturn.
Poverty is everywhere and no matter how hard our government tries to eliminate it, it simply cannot. To do so it must first reformat itself so that it may do its job in a more efficient manor, thus helping all aspects of life. Converting our current system into a capitalistic government would in fact help alleviate the current situation.
By implementing new farming techniques provided with the new technological advances in machines we can see abundant harvest in even the poorest third world countries. For example, the Green Revolution has already showed admirable progress in the northern part of India ever since it took start in 1950. By 1997, northern India increased its grain production by 37 percent. This has proven that traditional farming methods are being rendered obsolete. And because by the year 2000, there will be half the land per person in developing countries as there was in 1970, we need to apply ultra-efficient methods to sustain the growing need. Not only does the Green Revolution enhances food output, it also preserves the environment.
Poverty can be described as many things, it can be described as hunger, lack of shelter, not having access to school, not knowing how to read and much more. Despite the definitions, one thing we know for sure is that poverty is a complex societal issue. Poverty is a large cause of social tensions and threatens to separated a nation because of the issue of inequalities, more specifically, income inequality. Poverty is a main impact of globalization, it can affect a whole nation by furthering inequalities. Overall, has affected all of developing countries and has a crucial impact on developed countries.
...there is poverty. Kashmir is the finest place to start, and not merely because it is the core of the Indo-Pakistan conflict. Our histories, cultures and religions have converged in Kashmir. Our rivers begin there, mountains meet there, and our dreams rest there.”
As agriculture has become more intensive, farmers have become capable of producing higher yields using less labour and less land. Growth of the agriculture has not, however, been an unmixed blessing. It, like every other thing, has its pros and cons. Topsoil depletion, groundwater contamination, the decline of family farms, continued neglect of the living and working conditions for farm labourers, increasing costs of production, and the disintegration of economic and social conditions in rural communities. These are the cons of the new improved agriculture.
There are two ways to categorize poverty from a sociologist viewpoint. Absolute poverty simply refers to the condition in which one is unable to afford the necessities of life, whereas relative poverty refers to the condition in which one is unable to afford that which is considered a normal standard of living in society. Absolute poverty is far more worse than relative poverty because they could quite possible not have a house or food to live on for everyday survival. There are basically five different categories in which each poverty stricken person can be placed in. The first category are those who are not able to work because they are too old, too young, disabled, or tied down by social responsibility. The second category are those who are able and qualified to work but can not find work. The third category are those who are not equipped to fill available jobs either because they are undereducated or because their skills have become outdated. The fourth category are those whose social and personal problems have brought them to a point of self-defeating discouragement. The last category are those who are underpaid, or unable to get a fair price for what they have to sell. After defining which people are in poverty, these categories can answer my question of why are they in poverty and how they can be helped.
Poverty an also be described as having a lack of income and/or goods to satisfy necessities-food, shelter, clothing, and acceptable levels of health and education.
