Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” Preached Martin Luther King Jr., the Father of the revolutionary Civil Rights Movement. Social injustices can be witnessed every day, anywhere, whether its in school, on the streets, or especially in the media, with the rising amount of users per day. Though one may not witness the true damage they might actually be inflicting on one’s victim subject to discrimination, on a much wider scale, minorities are verbally abused, hurt, and even killed all around the world. Everyday, the political leaders and the public fight against social injustices everyday. Especially the teenage minorities, who are most likely to experience harassment and discrimination in their academic environment, for those who’ve experience it, are the ones who are most likely to fix it. With the amount of hate in the world, eager people are motivated to help whether it’s in school, in the workplace, on the streets, and more importantly in other countries. The public is now more infatuated with tolerance and equality more than ever, showing social desires and stories through inspirational and powerful art and literature, continuing to wait for new solutions to social injustices where it is most evident. One thing we can do is require more tolerance in the school environment. Last year, a Sudanese boy named Ahmed brought a clock to school and was seen as a bomb by authorities, and was suspended, as well as his also Sudanese sister who was previously suspended about some gossip that shed blow up the school, which she claims wasn’t true. With much more situations like these, it produces more evidence that tolerance needs to be more enforced, while intolerance needs to be more punishable. Outside the school environment, shootings of white authorities killing black men, the Pulse and San Berdino tragedies, and several school shootings, serve as proof and studies for possible solutions for the non-enforced contradictory gun laws that causes happenings like these. These can be fixed by replacing guns belonging to authorities with weapons that disable, rather than kill. However, if guns are removed from the market, it will take its place on the black market, where mostly criminals will buy them. These chains of effects are what gives contradictions do national issues like
