Smoking in Public Places

The best thing to do for your body is to stop smoking and to never start (Thompson 1 of 2). Smoke stays on the walls, floors, clothing and toys smoke is everywhere (HANSSEN 1 of 2). Therefore smoking should be banned in public spaces because it causes harm to the smoker's body, as well as causing unwarranted health and economic problems for the public.
People smoke in many places. Buses, hospitals, libraries, restaurants, bars, banks and even some places that smoking is not allowed (Mwita 1 of 3 ). Some people do not agree with smoking in public places for example Dr. Hussein Mwinyi explained to the National Assembly that smoking in public places is a crime (Mwita 2 of 3). Many other people believe that smoking in public places is a crime and not healthy for our bodies. CIAA stands for the Clean Indoor Air Act (Clearing the air 1 of 2). The Clean indoor law was designed to protect workers and the public from second hand smoking (Clearing the air 1 of 2). In some places people have gotten rid of smoking in public indoor places period. For example in Pennsylvania, they made a compromise in 2008 to only allow people to smoke in bars, casinos and private clubs (Clearing the air 1 of 2).
Also smoking in public places is against the law and smoking in crowded places is as well. People can be greatly punished for doing so (Mwita 1 of 3 ). Smoking in public places is killing people. American heart Association, Cancer Society and lung Association think that if we ban public smoking it will prevent a lot of deaths and diseases (Clearing the air 1 of 2). Not just these programs are trying to ban smoking, there are also some Certified Health community programs that are trying to prevent smoking in outdoor places as well (Habib 1 of 2 ). ...

...d not have to pay for medical bills. It also is not fair to those who do not chose to smoke and still have to deal with the consequences especially children who cannot stand up for themselves. It would also do some good for the smokers because they could only smoke on their property and they would cut back on how many cigarettes they smoke.
