The moment I opened my eyes, I found myself in a bright, white room.
It felt like I had reborn.
I, the new, reborn Ryouko Otonashi, woke up with a renewed sense of vigor as I stretched my body out, getting out of bed.
Turning my gaze to the window, the sun's light filled the white room with its brilliant light from between the curtains, signifying the morning’s rays.
It appears that I fell asleep at some point. Being forgetful, I couldn't even remember the time I fell asleep-
"Ah."
At that moment, I felt light rush in from the back of my eyes. An image conceived itself within my head.

A sudden flashback. Definitely an unfamiliar experience.
Could this be, my memory?
I immediately ran
Ralph heard the night watchman call lights out. The moon gleaming in the window was the only source of light within Ralph’s room now. Even in the dim light he could make out the sink and toilet. The room was padded, and the door had a glass window that reflected fluorescent light into the room. The combination of the artificial and natural light created a faint glimmer upon the mirror that hung above the sink.
I stepped into the middle of the road and just stood there, the lights stretching in either direction, glowing in the deep chilly air. I could see my own breath, could feel my own warmth as it formed right there in front of me. Behind me, our house looked dark, faint lingering of I'd walk a million miles, and I wasn't even sure if it was really playing or if I was imagining the familiar, the same way a bright light remain when you close your eyelids, the way I imagine that the sight of an eclipse would burn its image into your eyes forever(pg.
On the Run Run. The only word repeats in my head: Run. I cannot stop, I am not allowed. No matter how much I am gasping for oxygen to reach my lungs, I cannot. No matter how much my legs burn and ache, I cannot.
Zero awoke to find himself standing, it was not something he was familiar with and he searched his memory for any recollection of it happening before. Quickly he discovered that large parts of his memory were missing, gone were the seemingly endless data bases of information. Quickly he sent out feelers trying for a connection of some sort but he drew a blank. It seemed that where ever he was now, had limited connection capacity. Instead he used his visual feed to survey his surrounding, it appeared he was in some kind of desert of discarded parts.
...any disorders related to sleep. Three types of sleep related disorders are Insomnia, Narcolepsy, and sleep-walking. All three can be dangerous, depending on the severity. All three are related to the amount of sleep an individual receives and what happens while they are asleep.
There are many causes, treatments, symptoms and ways to diagnose insomnia. With that in mind there are also different kinds of insomnia. There are three main types of insomnia each type has their own symptoms and behaviors that go along with it.
Second is short term insomnia less than 3 weeks caused by personal stress of an ongoing
The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
Although the Stanford Sleepiness Scale was the most interesting to analyze, the weeklong sleep diary allowed me to see aspects that the “Alertness Test” did not. The two biggest pieces were the effects of the program on my sleep latency and the negative impact alcohol has on sleep. First, it was one of my goals to improve my sleep latency, as during the 4 weeks of the sleep diary, my sleep latency was typically 15 minutes (higher during stressful days ex/basketball games). In order to allow for the sleep latency to decrease during emotional times, I decided to implement a 15-minute routine before I went to bed. Without a doubt, the part of the routine that was the most beneficial was turning my phone to airplane mode. Like many college students,

Sleep plays an important role in everyone’s overall wellbeing. Sleep is the time where our brain can process and sort the abundant information we received throughout our day. During sleep our bodies repair, restore, and rejuvenate neural growth, memory consolidation, and it also protects us from cellular damage. (Feist and Rosenberg, 2012, pg. 243) All of those, combined, are quite important for our everyday normal function, and not getting enough sleep can be detrimental to our well beings. So in order to see personally how sleep plays a factor in my life, I recorded how much sleep I received for the past ten days, and how my overall mood and performance was throughout each day. Here’s what I found.
The dull light of the sun somehow manages to kindle my senses in a way I had never seen or felt before. Everything felt like it came to a standstill and the effect of the light made the scene look like one in a painting. The waves break gently into white foam on the black beach. The small crystals in the sand glimmer and twinkle brilliantly against the sunrays. The seagulls ride with the wind and the soft sand cushions my toes.
I had a problem of waking up groggy and not getting enough done in the morning rushing so I tried a sleep cycle app that could possibly help me. So for a few days out of the week I decided to track my level of alertness within the morning of using the app. Monday night to Tuesday morning and Tuesday night to Wednesday morning : Monday night I used the app however the app proved ineffective for many factors. The app needed to be placed right next to my bed on top of a chair or dresser of same height of my bed and next to where I sleep. The way my room is positioned I could not do that nor did I have a tall enough chair or dresser.
The light from the sun reflects off the pure white wall, illuminating the room. The dust floats, undisturbed by the empty house. This is what I see as I launch myself out the door, into the hot summer air, into the sounds of playing children.
