Tonight on a new episode of Sister Wives the Brown family sat down to talk about how their lives are now and answer a few questions. They sat down with Andrea Canning to talk about it all. One thing that everyone wonders is if there will be another season of Sister Wives. This was not discussed tonight, but after the show, Andrea went to Twitter and said, "Thank you #sisterwives and @realkodybrown and your entire family! Great getting to know you guys. @TLC Look forward to the next season!" This has everyone hopeful that Sister Wives is coming back again. There were a ton of rumors discussed on Sister Wives tonight including a small section at the end where the Browns just basically said if rumors were true or not. Andrea spent some time talking to Mariah Brown during the show tonight, and she did share that she doesn't have a girlfriend just yet, but that doesn't mean she is against the idea if it was to happen for her. Her entire family seemed to take the news that she was gay pretty well and several of her siblings already had it figured out before Mariah told them. …show more content…

The definition of gender has become way more revolutionary and expressive compared to the twentieth century. Gender used to be similar to sex where someone would be identified as a male or female based on their biological genitals however, this day in age it is way more complex. Someone can be born a male but mentally they feel like a male. In “Sisterhood is complicated” Ruth Padawer explains the journey of different transgender males and the obstacles they face while attending Wellesley college. Wellesley is a women’s college that has been around for a very long time and is in the process of the battling the conflict of whether they should admit transgender students. Ariel Levy author of “Female Chauvinist Pigs” tackles the stereotypes and
Is Gender the same thing as Sex? This topic is complicated because many people confuse these two as the same thing but they are very two different things. There are several Cultural Myths about Gender and Sex. Gary Colombo, who wrote: “Thinking Critically, Challenging Cultural Myths” who explains that a cultural myth is a shared set of customs, values, ideas, and beliefs, as well as a common language. In “Sisterhood is Complicated” by Ruth Padawer who is a contributing writer at The New York Times Magazine, focusing on gender and social issues in “Sisterhood is Complicated” she shows many of the Stereotypes about Gender and Sex and how they are unmistakably just cultural myths. It also has how there are positives being trans at an all women
Today 's generation have changed many ways since the beginning of the century. In “The American Family”, Stephanie Coontz discusses many situations that has occurred during the beginning of the 21st century and suggested solutions to solve those issues in the future. For instance, she argued that women are being treated unfairly, family are not discussing their problems openly, and institutions need to change to fit the families’ requirement. In “Complexity of Family Life among the Low-Income and Working Poor” Patricia Hyjer Dyk, argued that women still doesn’t have enough choices, low income families doesn’t have enough jobs, and Government are not helping many families. Dyk’s review of the scholarly research on low-income families support Coontz’ evaluations of the problems faced by 21st century families and the solutions Coontz recommends, like improving women 's lifestyle, discussing problems openly, improving institutions and changing institutions so it can to fit to fulfil families need. .

Walking up dilapidated stairs, my friend and I enter into the chapter room of Beta Sigma Psi, where the Little Sisters of the Gold Rose meets every week. The fraternity house smells of stale beer and sweat, and has clear signs of past parties and shenanigans. However, we have officially become activated members of the service sorority and were attending our first chapter meeting with the entire sorority. In that chapter room we discussed future service events, volunteering opportunities, and then went around the room for anyone to share news and announcements with the group. It was at this moment that I felt like a true active member in LSGR, when everyone was interested in hearing about each other’s lives and wellbeing. While as a rushing

Things are really going to heat up on Sister Wives this week between Kody and Christine Brown. Last week on Sister Wives they headed to Galveston, Texas to work on their marriage, but it wasn't enough. These two are still having problems and this week on Sister Wives, Robyn Brown gets right in the middle of their issues. Sometimes another wife stepping in is a good thing and others it is really bad so viewers will just have to wait and see how this turns out for them. Robyn stepping in looks like it could be a good thing for this Sister Wives couple though.
The Bachelorette 2016 is still filming, but the spoilers for JoJo Fletcher's season are coming out like crazy. Reality Steve always does a great job of figuring out who makes it to the end and is even usually able to figure out if they end up proposed. Steve actually went to his Twitter to confirm the final four guys on The Bachelorette. It is starting to look like JoJo just might find love.
In the United States, we look mainly at mainstream religion and don't even look much into other religions apart from our own. Vodou is occasionally depicted as very dark, so it's not given the light of day, to learn about the religion itself. But in Karen McCarthy Brown's book, Mama Lola, she talks about Vodou and the connectedness people have to the religion and the spirits in Vodou. In the excerpt of Mama Lola, Brown talks about how Vodou is a religion that empowers women, more frequently than other religions throughout the world; but there are still constraints on gender, social class, and race. Throughout the excerpt we learn about the ways spirits help the people who practice Vodou in their everyday lives, especially women.
I never would have imagined feeling like an outsider in my own home. Unfortunately I wouldn’t even go as far as considering my current home as “my home.” I live in a house with eight people and two dogs and for some, that might not even be slightly overwhelming, but for me it is. I try to keep my heart open about the situation, but I always end up feeling like I don’t belong. Given the circumstances of my situation, I would say life definitely turned out better than what I initially expected, but I was left feeling like a “stranger in a village” having to live with a family that is nothing like my own.
In an era where all of the world’s information is readily available at our fingertips, it is difficult to imagine what life was like before the Internet. Today. people get anxiety attacks at the thought of a slow wireless connection. God forbid a webpage takes five minutes to load; we are left with rage and disappointment. Is the Internet making people stupid? Despite the fact that research on the detrimental effects of the Internet is still young, there is no doubt that the Internet is changing the way one thinks, but it is not necessarily making one “dumber.” What it is doing, however, is bringing to light some bad habits that are affecting the way we process information. The Internet is making us lazy and unable to memorize information.
My brothers and sister are the best motivation to me. It is not every day that we get along but when we do then it is a good day. Every day they make me want do better, not only for myself but for my mom and them also. They encourage me to do better now so that my future is bright later on. Family is always the best to have on your team especially for their support because they genuinely mean it and you know that it is coming from their heart. I know I can count on all my brothers and sister to be there for me when no one else is because they are family. I hate that they are growing every day and getting older to experience the real life. I hope even later on they will all still support me and we will not drift apart like I know
