Tim Berners-Lee
Sir Tim Berners-Lee was born on June 8, 1955 in London, England. His parents were Mary Lee Wood and Conway Berners-Lee who were both Mathematicians and Computer Programmers. He was raised as only child and went to Emmanuel School in Wadsworth, England. He was a student at Oxford University where he studied physics and got his Bachelors of Science in Physics. While there he made computers out of spare parts. He was banned from the schools computers because he was caught hacking. After he graduated he got a job as a software engineer at CERN,a European organization for Nuclear Research and large particle physics laboratory near Geneva, Switzerland. There many scientists engaging in tests at CERN and returning to their labs around the globe, these scientists were eager to share and exchange results and information but it was very difficult to send masses of information. Tim realized this problem and saw the potential to create something. Tim berners-lee, understood the untouched potential of all of computers connected together through the power of the Internet.
Tim Berners-Lee had a chance to make millions even billions with the invention of internet, but he realized the importance of it being free without making it free it would have failed because people would be afraid to test this new project and would have no free advertisement. He also realized the importance of free sharing throughout the World Wide Web.
Once the amount of users on the Web hit a specific goal, its functionality, and therefore its group appeal, began to go through the roof. Alan Mathison Turing was born in Paddington, London, on June 23, 1912. He was a precocious child and began his interests in science and mathematics at a young age, but was never concerned about other right-brain classes such as English. This continued until an important friend of his passed away and set Turing on a path to achieve what his friend could no longer accomplish. When his friend Christopher Morcom died, Turing was launched into thoughts in physics about the physical mind being embodied in matter and whether quantum-mechanical theory affects the traditional problem of mind and matter. Many say today that this was the beginnings of Turing’s Turning Machine and the test still used today for artificial intelligence, the Turing Test.
Alan Turing was a computer scientist and a pioneer in computer science. Turing, along with Alonzo Church, developed a central hypothesis of binary computing machinery applicability. During World War II, he developed a machine that helped break the German Enigma code. He also laid the groundwork for modern computing and theorized about artificial intelligence. However, until recently, it was not well-known that Turing committed suicide.

The Internet started out as an experimental military network in the 1960s. Doug Engelbart prototypes an "Online System" (NLS) which does hypertext browsing, editing, email, and so on. The Internet has made access to information easier. Information is stored efficiently and organized on the Internet. For example, instead of going to our local library, we can use Internet search engines. Simply by doing a search, we get thousands of results. The search engines use a ranking system to help us retrieve the most pertinent results in top order. Just a simple click and we have our information. Therefore, we can learn about anything, immediately. In a matter of moments, we can become an expert.
The internet is getting bigger and faster everyday, an individual can log on to the internet and buy sell or trade anything, the world wide web can bring the world into your home where anything can be looked up to learn or to amuse. Computer chips are being put in a wide range of things today, from appliances to cell phones to automobiles; an owner can now have their automobile checked for any problems while they are driving down the road via a satellite and find out if they should go in to have it repaired.
