Bono was a remarkable person. He is a singer and a guitaris in an Irish rock band called U2. He was also doing charity work globally. Bono “used his celebrity to call attention to global problems, including world poverty, [hunger] and AIDS” (Bono). With that, he received the Nobel Peace Prize’s Man of Peace title for his hard works. Bono was a co-founder of DATA and the ONE Campaign. He had and still have many fans who looked up to him now.
Bono was born on May 10, 1960 in Dublin, Ireland. His father was “a Roman Catholic postal worker and [his mother was] a Protestant mother” (Bono). His real name was actually Paul David Hewson. He got the nickname Bono from when he was in high school. The word bono comes from the Latin word bonavox, which means good voice. During his Irish rock band career, he was aware of everything that happens around the world, which made most of the lyrics “often focusing on untraditional themes like politics and religion” (Bono). In 1982, Bono married Ali Hewson and they had 4 childrens.
Throughout the years, other than music, Bono had met with many world leaders and politicians in a discussion about the issues that were happening around the world.. In 1990, Bono had “campaigned with Greenpeace against the nuclear power plant Sellafield in the north of England, and drew attention to the conflict raging in Bosnia by collaborating with the US journalist Bill Carter during the Zoo TV tour” (Fry). In one of the moments, DATA was created. DATA stands for Debt AIDs Trade Africa. The organization fights AIDs and poverty that appears at Africa. The ONE Campaign was created with the help of DATA in 2004 to make poverty history. This organization is very dedicated to their work, which was fighting poverty and prev...

...han me, there are more people in the world who are going to a much harder and rougher life than I am. Also, help others when you can and do the right things to create joy and peace and pass on the faith and hope to those in need. There is also having the inspiration passed on.
The most beneficial trait of Bono is the way he thinks. Using his career which was being a celebrity and a singer in the band U2 to help others and doing charity work is incredible. I would’ve never thought about anything like that. I guess that is why so many people is inspired by Bono very much. Another trait that he has is his generosity. Doing many big charity events is very generous and caring. Then, Bono creating organizations like the DATE, the ONE Campaign, and EDUN. Also, the creation of the Product (Red) that helps the people in Africa from getting AIDs, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.

Although I have always been able to overcome obstacles thrown my way, I am aware that others have not. I have volunteered for fundraisers to raise funds for the community. I was a volunteer at a local hospital for 2 years and was able to interact with members of the community and learn more about the struggles that they go through. As a volunteer, I was not able to do much, but listening to them and relaying their message to their nurse did aid in making sure that their voices was heard and appropriate treatment was given to them. After becoming a nursing assistant, I was and still am able to help care for people in underserved communities. Some of them come in with no health insurance due to its cost, and others come in with illnesses and lifestyle choices that have torn their families apart. No matter the circumstance I will continue to do what I can to make sure that they have proper treatment and that they know that I will not judge them; I will care for them. I do not want to leave anyone behind because of his or her circumstance. Becoming a nurse will be one experience that will allow me to find myself in the care and service of others, to me, that is a beautiful
...what one does. God hopes that everyone lives a good, generous life. Everyone should perform actions from their hearts, because if one is forced to do something it is not love. For instance, throughout life one is taught that being there for the other or a friend is something that is out of love and is the significance of friendship. Everyone should be friends with the poor, get to know them, and lend a helping hand.
The writer behind “Singers Solution to World Poverty” advocates that U.S. citizens give away the majority of their dispensable income in order to end global suffering. Peter Singer makes numerous assumptions within his proposal about world poverty, and they are founded on the principle that Americans spend too much money on items and services that they do not need.
For example, when I look at what i’m doing and how much I love my life i stop and think about all the good and bad things and what other people lives must be like. All the negative things in my life I try to let go of them but the more i think about them the more it makes me even more unhappy. So what i do is I stop and look around and try to make other people happy instead of being selfish. Helping others is like a gift it makes you feel good about yourself. I help people that want to play soccer learn the basics and more so they have the confidence to tryout for a team.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson-

There has always been a predominant belief in my household that it is important to help others- whether it be volunteering at a food pantry or just keep an elderly neighbor company when no one else is around to do so. The main takeaway from this was that one couldn’t receive good in their life if they never gave any. I have been more eager to follow this through, not necessarily in the spirit of receiving some good in return, but because it gave me a good feeling to know that I was impacting someone’s life in a positive manner. I wanted to be able to foster this feeling and incorporate it into my everyday life, so I could carry that feeling with me wherever I go.
...all life even those who choose to reject him. I need to live in such a way that if today was the last day I had to live, I know I have done Christ’s work and brought others to Christ. Till his return, I believe it is my duty to spread the word and to do my part for God.
It's true that we all need to make a difference in times of crisis and need, but we also need to strive to make a difference each day. I know that I can make a difference in the lives of many people by simply lending a helping hand or showing kindness to others. I try to take the time to cheer up my grandmother and older friends in the nursing home by paying them a visit. I know my parents stay very busy and it helps them out when I come home and lend a helping hand without being asked. I can help a friend with their homework, or sometimes help by just being there to listen to them.
I feel that all successful people must make a major positive contribution to the world in some way during their lifetimes. Not everyone can do this, however, and it seems that your view on life has a major effect on your ability to do so. I hope that while developing my skills I also will develop the mindset required to make a major contribution to the world. Ultimately, I think that if I continue to participate in extracurricular activities and courses that hone my knowledge and skills I will be able to have a successful career as a computer engineer, and eventually have an impact on the world for the greater good.
...others the opportunity to view different ways to look at life, although it was not my intention to try to change the beliefs of others. If everyone would look at each other and realize the importance of life there would be fewer wars and less hate in the world.
...I also like to try, and help the local homeless man and woman by volunteering at my church. I think that taking some time out of my busy schedule to help those in need is very important to my credo. The above credo has inspired me to help people as much as I can and try to make a difference. We should be trying to make and bring happiness to others rather being so overindulged in our perfect little lives to not stop, and look deeper.
