The American actor Tom Hanks once said: “A hero is somebody who voluntarily walks into the unknown”. In stories, people can pick and chose who is the villain and who are the heroes. Heroes do not always go on their adventures voluntarily but they do choose and save the day.Harry Potter is a series by J.K Rowling about a wizard who is living in the human world yet he doesn’t know he is a wizard. Until one day an owl comes into his foster home and drops of a note inviting Harry to Hogwarts a whole world for wizards. Harry getting invited is his call to adventure.The Odyssey is a Greek mythological book by Homer where the main character Odysseus is a king who has to go off to war. Makes sense though because they are in different worlds. In the Harry Potter series, Harry and his two friends and others use magic wands to fight in The Odyssey the character Odysseus uses swords/bow and arrows and his body to fight. Harry Potter has more fantasy than The Odyssey.In the seventh book of Harry Potter, Harry and his friend including the school are at war with a villain who goes by the name Voldemort who has been after Harry and his family for years. At the end Harry and Voldemort are using they’re wands to fight each other and eventually Harry wins and Voldemort dies.When Harry and Voldemort are fighting their wands do a Priori Incantatem which is where two wands have one of the same products in it so they clash together.
