Hamlet and Lion King


Hamlet and Lion King has lots of differences and similarities. In the Lion king, Scar, Simba’s uncle killed his father. In Hamlet, Hamlets uncle Claudius killed his father old hamlet. Simba's crush was his childhood friend, but hamlets crush was a peasant. Sarabi the queen didn't like Simbas uncle but in Hamlet, Hamlet's mom remarried his uncle.
In Hamlet, his uncle killed his father by poison in his sleep. Hamlet's father was sleeping in the orchard when he was killed in his sleep. So when they found old hamlet, it wasn't any blood. They assumed he died from natural causes but later in the movie, old Hamlet's ghost explains to hamlet that Claudius killed him in his sleep with poison and wants hamlet to avenge him. Hamlet already thought his uncle did it, he just wasn't sure(Shakespeare). In Lion King his uncle killed his father by, pushing him off a cliff into a stampede of wildebeest. Scar setup Mufasa's death. He told Simba wait for him in the valley and causes a stampede. Then he tells Mufasa it's a stampede and Simba is in the middle of it. So, when Mufasa saves Simba and tries to get out of the stampede Scar pushes him back in it. Mufasa is trampled to his death, Scar tells Simba it's his fault, and tells him to run away(Lion King). …show more content…

Her name was Nala, she was his moms friend daughter. Simba and Nala did everything together. They wrestled each other, went on adventures, and got into trouble together. Simba got her in trouble in a way because, she was unsure about some of the things he wanted to do but, he persuaded her. In the end, Simba was with Nala as the Queen(Lion King). Hamlet's crush was a peasant girl, her name was Ophelia. Her father Polonius told her she couldn't be with him because, Hamlet was a prince and Ophelia wasn't royal like him.
