Fiddler on the Roof- A Chorus Line A Chorus Line and Fiddler on the Roof have one major connection, they are both about tradition. A Chorus Line follows dancers in the middle of an audition, hoping to get this job. To dancers trying out for shows is almost like a tradition. Every dancer who wants to make it out there is gonna work their butt of to try to get a job in the chorus. Audition after audition after audition you try just to get a small part and keeping that tradition can be very hard. Not wanting to give up, that determination is what makes a dancer a dancer. In Phantom of the Opera the there is a Phantom at the Paris Opera House. The phantom is a man with a scarred face who was thrown in a circus as a young boy and treated as the devil child. He is whipped and scared and laughed upon. Until a young Madame Giry helps him escape into the basement/sewers under the opera house.The Phantom is lonely and has fallen for young Christine Daaé. Every time she refuses him he does something terrible to a person or thing in the opera house. At the end the phantom does not end up with Cristine, he is left alone. In Sweeney Todd the same way Sweeney Todd was accused of a crime he did not do, when we returns he discovers that his wife was raped by the judge and the same man. To get revenge Sweeney begins to kill a bunch of people. In the end Sweeney kills the judge but he also kills his wife and then is killed. Both the Phantom and Sweeney were heart hurt so they did everything to be with the thing they loved, for the phantom it was Cristine and for Sweeney it was his daughter .
