Do you ever find yourself feeling off balance or just out of sync with everything around you? These feelings could be signs of unbalanced Chakras. I am sure you are wondering what are Chakras and why do they affect your life so much. Chakras are also known as the central energy centers in your body. Each energy center is responsible for specific functions your body does and emotions you feel. When out of balance your physical and emotional health can decline. If this happens it is not too late to fix it and there are many ways to do it. In order to tell which of your energy centers are off balance you must first look at what physically and emotionally ails you. For example if you find yourself having knee pains, eating disorders, or feeling
greedy or fearful and unloved then that means your Root Chakra is either underactive or hyperactive. Having an excessively open chakra can burn it out which is why the main goal is always a balance. There are seven Chakras in all; Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown. Your Sacral Chakra handles your sexuality and is located below your navel. When balanced it allows you to take risks and commit to things. The Solar Plexus is above your navel which handles your self-esteem and when balanced allows you to feel confidence in yourself. The 4th Chakra is the Heart Chakra whose location is obvious and allows your forgiveness to flow freely. Moving up to the last three physical Chakras you have the Throat, Third Eye, and Crown. The Throat Chakra helps with communication while the Third Eye gives you clarity. Your Third Eye is also responsible for intuition and psychic abilities, it is located in between your eyebrows. At the top of your head you have the Crown Chakra which when balanced will give you unwavering trust in your inner guidance. To begin chakra healing you should become comfortable with meditation. This is normally a slow process which pays off in the long run. Along with meditation you can balance your Chakras with you eat also. Each Chakra has a color that matches with it and eating foods that match with that Chakra’s color can help balance it out. While meditating you need to think of a bright white light, the brightest light you can imagine. Take this light and place it at the base of your spine which is where your Sacral chakra is and begin to move it up through the rest of your energy centers until you hit your Crown Chakra at the top of your head. You should allow this light to sit on each chakra long enough to state a mantra for each. Sometimes it is best to spend longer than just one meditation session on each one. When you balance your chakras they don’t stay balanced forever. At some point you will need to rebalance your energy centers. Once you see ailments coming back or emotional issues taking over you will know it’s time. All things done to balance your energy centers are all things that help you live a good life in the first place. This is more than a onetime thing, it’s a lifestyle change. It’s all about starting a new journey to a new you. Eating right, meditation, and staying positive are the answers to not only a balanced life but a happy life.
All things found in the universe are thought of as a balance of the two opposite but complementary forces yin and yang. Organs in our body can be predominantly yin or yang but the body still manages to maintain the overall balance because of the total sum of yin and yang in the body. Traditional Chinese medicine states that diseases are caused by an imbalance of yin and yang. When trying to restore the balance and the person’s health, practitioners look for the nature of the imbalance and use acupuncture as a method to correct the imbalance.“However, despite more than 3,0000 studies into acupuncture since the 1970s, there is no evidence that any force qi ( yin and yang) exists or that it flows along invisible energy lines.” ( “Why acupuncture is giving sceptists the needle”, David Derbyshire)Therefore the whole system acupuncture is based on can’t be reliable.
Yoga is a discipline both involving physical and mental control that originated in India. The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word, "yug", meaning union and it means the joining of the individual spirit with the universal spirit. The type of yoga known as Hatha Yoga, ("Ha"- sun, "tha"-moon) is what is most commonly practiced and this yoga involves the path of the mind and body and is the most physical. There are eight limbs or steps of Hatha Yoga, the first step being the five Yamas. There are five yamas and these concern your behavior to the world.
...as are a key part of our body is evident. They provide us with creativity and inspiration. Our chakras also keep the body motivated. When a child asks where the soul is, many answers may be thrown at him, but one that is hardly mentioned is the chakras. In my eyes, chakras are as much of a viable answer as saying that the soul is located anywhere else. Whether chakras are real, or whether they are a state of mind, there is one concrete fact, and that is the fact that they improve our lives. With the fact that chakras improve our lives, Buddha once said “To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.” Chakras; gateway to the soul, gateway to enlightenment.
Now that the chakras have become New Age parlance, there are many interpretations of their meaning and function being bandied about. While this popularity is making the chakras a household word, it is also spreading a lot of confusing, conflicting, and often erroneous information. It is important to realize the chakras come from an ancient tradition, which many New Age teachers have barely explored. Here is a brief summary of the development of the chakras historically.
Western medicine has recently discovered the powerful affects of meditation, by allowing doctors to treat the body and the mind. In reality, the mind is a very misunderstood and unexplored region of the human existence. Modern science knows more about the composition of the earth than it does about the mechanics of the human brain. Yet, meditation thwarts all notions of modern medicine with its shocking ability to to take obscure visualizations and create physical responses in the body. Mahayana Buddhism, found mainly in the autonomous region of Tibet, has become the main reference and standard for meditation practices in the west. Tibetans have used meditation for centuries as treatment for illness, and now, modern medicine of the western world is just beginning to reap the benefits of this unique and unconventional treatment for a variety of physical and mental ailments. Once a practice reserved strictly for Buddhist monks, meditation has become a worldwide phenomenon. Simply enter “Buddhist meditation” into the any Inter...
Energy constantly flows up and down these pathways. When pathways become obstructed, deficient, excessive, or just unbalanced, Yin and Yang are said to be thrown out of balance. This causes illness. Acupuncture is said to restore the balance.

They noticed that the conditions related to their muscular system, respiratory system, nervous system, and the digestive system improved notably. It has been studied and suggested that regular practice of Yoga increases the brain gamma-Aminobutyric acid levels which helps in regulating the excitability of the nervous system and muscle tone as well. This helps in reducing anxiety and improving mood functions, letting people lead much more emotionally balanced lives. Apart from the abovementioned advantages, yoga also helps in keeping cardiovascular diseases in check. The three principles of yoga: asana (exercise), pranayama (breathing), and drishti (meditation) help in monitoring heart activities and keeping it functioning healthily. It does so by reducing blood pressure, speeding up recovery related to heart failures or cardiac arrests, and lower other cardiovascular risk factors that some people might have genetically imbibed in them. Similarly, it helps people with chronic back aches. Regular practice of yoga can bring relief over a period of time, than medications alone. Pain medications for back ache or spine-related spasms generally have dangerous side effects such as gastric problems, nausea, and the relief they provide last for a very short period of time. Yoga on the other hand gives back pain sufferers a much necessary relief through stretching exercises and also by meditating which plays a major role in alleviating any kind of
This week’s analysis is associated with the yoga class provided online to help with stress reduction. The first term that I came across was psychophysiology and how this principle is based on the mind and body being one and how our thinking affects all physiology. This principle was the perfect definition of yoga because yoga focuses on how the mind and body connects with each other. It gives you a sense of relaxation throughout your mind and body together. Furthermore, the yoga that was in the video was a yoga style called hatha. Which practices asana (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). According to the book, this practices helps bring peace to the mind and body and prepare our body to do deeper exercises. The art of breathing was mentioned during the exercise and in the book. Breathing is very important when trying to unite the mind, body, and spirit. So, having slow, deep breathes was a main focused during the exercise. Another term that was used in the video was the art of stretching, which allows us to become aware of our flexibility of our muscle while moving. Lastly, the art of balance is significant because it allows us to move into the next form of position on both sides of our body. Some of the workouts pose that was mention in the textbook that I did was two knees to the chest, cobra, and head of cow. Overall, hatha

If I do not have a complete breakfast, it affects my energy level.
