Hearing the sounds of a musical instrument can be very relaxing and stress-free. However, that doesn't mean we have to study the instrument and be forced to play it. Student's shouldn't be required to play an instrument in school, because its unnecessary, requires a lot of work, and can be extremely stressful, which is why students shouldn't be required to play. Many students in the modern day complain about their classes in school and how they specifically didn't want or need a music class. This can be the evidence in which students may not have a choice of what they think is best for them, or what's not. Student's shouldn't be required to play an instrument in school, because its unnecessary. According to Source#3, "not every student will benefit from being taken out of class in the middle of the school day to learn to play music." Considering this, students may not see the necessity of learning how to play music, because not every person can benefit from it or even connect with it. Another example from Source#3 can be that, "many students need to stay in class, they need to work on their Reading, Writing, and Math skills." Additionally, playing an instrument is very hard work and students with other studies can struggle and find it difficult to handle both of the tasks, especially if their studies are ten times as hard.
