To begin with, cell phones are needed in school because a student can have an emergency. As teens get older they are becoming more independent. Often the only way that their parents can be sure that their kids are safe is by calling them. Imagine if there was a fire in a school and your child was the only one to know about it. Have you ever heard of the gruesome Columbine High School massacre? This incident occurred on April 20th 1999 and involved two students embarking on a shooting rampage, killing twelve students, a teacher and wounding twenty three others. Unfortunately during this incident, the school's most easily accessible phone was on the other side of the school in the library. Perhaps some of these lives could have been saved if the students in this class had cell phones that they could've used to contact the authorities more quickly. The issue we are addressing today is the use of cellular devices in educational facilities. I believe that cell phone use is of extreme convenience, and has academically beneficial aspects, among it's so called "faults".
Here are the many reasons why kids in middle school should have phones.They are very important reason why kids should have the right to socialize without their parents having to worry about them.When a kid hits middle school he or she automatically wants to start leaving the house more often.Which is a good thing but it’s always good to keep your parent or parents informed on where you are or how you're doing.
Picture this, there has been a school lockdown, the suspect cut the landlines so no one could call the police for a rescue. However, the suspect was captured by the police much faster than he imagined. The last scene wouldn’t have happened if it was one decade ago, because cell phones were not popular in schools then. When it comes to cell phones, some people think they should not be permitted in schools, and other people think they should be permitted in schools. I agree with the latter opinion for the following reasons: Cell phones are an efficient way to communicate when emergencies occur in school; cell phones can be a great tool for learning during school hours; and the current prohibitive rules on cell phones are merely fruitless efforts. Cell phones should be permitted in schools, because they could be very beneficial and practical in schools.
In conclusion, kids should have cell phones to ensure that they know what’s expected from them, because a good parent-child relationship starts with good communication. It not only makes the kids feel safer, but it also puts the parents at ease in many ways.
Firstly, cell phones are a useful object when needed in an emergency. When parents need to contact their kids, they would have access to talk with them on their cell phones. People say "But there's phones in the office", So? What if office staff are out for lunch? What if the emergency happens at their parent’s work place? So, what would they do? Go out and look for them? Cell phones are very useful in that situation! If an emergency happens how would their kids know when to turn their phones on? So, a good comprise would be to turn on your phone and set it on vibrate. Schools should allow cell phones in school for children's protection and safety.
Some may believe that giving students the opportunity to use their devices in school is an unnecessary distraction, however many benefits entail for those who use technology in the classroom. Students need to bring devices to school because it will help to keep them focused, it is more advanced for modern times, and it can save money for schools. The first reason why students should be allowed to bring their devices to school is because it can help keep them focused during class. Many times in schools, teachers will do lessons on a SmartBoard. Since students just sit at their desks watching, they may become bored and zone out.
Technology in schools should be allowed!!! Technology should be used in school classrooms because students can connect with students. Technology can be used as electronic textbooks , video players, graphing calculators and photo editors. Technology needs to be allowed in schools lastly but not leastly because students need them for emergency purposes. My first reason why Technology should be used in schools for classroom purposes is phones can be used to poll students in class and send homework reminders.
Many people’s back throb in pain from the amount of textbook they carry in their backpack. In my junior year, I used to carry three textbooks because of my Advanced Placement classes. Every year, millions of young children and teenagers develop back problems due to the unpleasant weight of the backpack. While children continues to have back problems, engineers develop light-weight, sustainable laptops. Millions of trees are being cut down to produce more textbooks.

Technology is seen as a new, innovative device that helps out with our regular lives to some, but to others it is seen as a device that simply distracts from the simplicity of life. A large controversy going on right now is on whether or not technology should be incorporated more or less into our schools. Technology should definitely be incorporated more into our schools because it is a useful resource to the students, teachers, and administration. Technology is able to prepare our students for their future career, encourage our students to collaborate with others, and allows students/teachers/administration to share work and documents easily and quickly between each other.
