Some school districts offer programs that allow high school students to graduate in three years instead of the traditional four years. Most students who follow this plan must take courses during the summers or in the evenings or may not be able to take elective courses. In my opinion I think it is okay for students to finish high school in three years and enter college or the workforce one year early.
Do you hate going to highschool for four years? Would you like three years instead? Would you like to take some occasional summer classes or night classes? If you said yes to any of these then listen closely. Some schools offer three year programs instead of four. High school students should be allowed to graduate after three years of school, due to the fact that they have to take occasional summer classes and night classes, or they may not be able to take elective classes.

If you attend summer school you have to attend three months of school and get nine months off. Another great thing about attending summer school is that you have more time to enjoy the holidays with your family and friends Those three things I just listed are amazing opportunities and who wouldn’t want to take advantage of these great things.
Another option a student has is to attend night classes. This is another great opportunity because you get to sleep in, you have more free time during the day, and the brain works better after a good nights of rest. I am a senior at Scranton High School and I absolutely hate getting up at seven every morning to make it to class on time. If I had the option to attend night classes and get to sleep in and have free time that day I would definitely take advantage over that great opportunity because what teenager loves getting up
Waking up early at 6:00 A.M in the morning isn’t the funniest thing to do. The times on when school starts should be changed to a later time. Schools should change start times to later there is even factual evidence that this is true. In the article ‘The Teen Who Woke Up Her School’ by Jane Bianchi wrote about a teen named Jilly Dos Santos who put hard work into petitions and powerpoints to show how more sleep can better not only her but other people on school work and sports. People need more sleep to function and get through the day and to be more alert about things around them.Evidence from scientist and from teens show that people work better when they have more energy and got a good night's rest and when students don’t they sometimes start
When students are in high school, is the end, they are finally free after 13 years of schooling, but for many people graduating from high school is just the beginning. After graduating from high school, students are faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to continue on with their education. And if they do decide to continue on with their education, what form of education will they choose. There are a variety of different options open to students each accompanied by their own pros and cons. These options include; no school, 4-year university, or 2-year community college.
Also, students will be up later finishing homework and socializing on their phones with friends. Although schools will now have been adjusted to fit with students sleep cycles, that does not mean that the students will actually get more sleep. Also, people do not think of the consequences such as conflicts with transportation.
For many teens, their four years of high school have been a memorable and transforming experience, but for others, high school was just another brick building keeping them from the real world. But what if another year of education was added back to the four year program and it assisted students with their high school experience? Since 2003, Toronto high schools have removed the fifth year of the high school program but people have spoken about bringing back the extra year to help students with course averages, stress and decrease the dropout rate. Returning to the five year program may be beneficial to help high school students with academic achievement, post-secondary planning and stress. Another year of education will give students time to retake courses and improve their overall average. This will also influence post-secondary options the variety of choices. A fifth year will provide more time to space out courses and other priorities to reduce stress and pressure put on students. Bringing back the five year high school
What could possibly be wrong with current public high school curriculum. Students attend 4 years of high school and receive a well-rounded education. This education allows the students to function as a valuable member of society without necessarily continuing their education beyond high school. What could possibly be wrong with all this? Well, what about the students who do choose to continue their education after high school? Does high school prepare students well? According to the statistics, the answer is no. ACT, a non-profit organization that gathers statistics and researches the education field, states that "31% of students seeking a BA/BS degree at a public college drop out by the end of their second semester
First of all, many high school graduates cannot handle college. Isabel V. Sawhill and Stephanie Owen describe college as a place, “one can obtain a traditional four-year bachelor’s degree”. The work load outside of the classroom could be compared to working a full time job. For example, if a student is enrolled in four college courses and is in class a minimum of four hours the student should spend at least four to six hours of studying. This may be extremely agitating and stressful to a student that is not good at studying. The new college student may realize that the schoolwork is too much for him to handle and instead drop out. In Pharinet’s blog post, Is College for Everyone? He states that “…it is estimated that in the U.S., approximately 50% of students who begin college never graduate. There exist students who are not yet ready for the academic and financial challenges of college. There exist students who do not have the desire for college or learning.” This statement is important because if 50% of students that begin college never gradua...
A lot of time is going to be dictated for college for some it might take years until they accomplish what they want to do. That 's why it 's important for high schools to set-up and teach students the skill sets they need and also picking a career they want to follow when they go into college.
6:30 to be ready for school is just not enough time. It’s easy to think that. students will just procrastinate even more, but the average teenager is smarter. than you may think. It sounds absurd to think that students sleep during the school day.
Students and teachers should not change to or attend year round school because of educational reasons. A major reason would be that over summer you can learn skills you would
What do you think about going to school year round with little breaks here and there, but not your traditional three month summer break? Year round schooling has been a decision argued with the government, teachers, principals and parents. Many kids and adults like to relax on their three month break. Many students are used to having two week winter break, one week spring break, and three months of summer break. Overall, one three month break would benefit than having three-week breaks broken up throughout the school year.
Have you ever wondered why some teens fall asleep during class? Well, that is because the students are not getting enough sleep during the night before. In the article (Sh0uld schools start later? by Lisa M. Herrington), the video (should students start school later in the morning? By ABC News Report), and the infographic by Sarah McKibben tell us that if school start later in the morning, even by half an hour, than the students will be more alert, energetic, and the students will get better grades on tests.
The second reason to finish high school is for job security. Nowadays, having a high school

School plays an important role in our lives. Many people will spend more than fifteen years at school in order to get the qualifications that are required to work in a specific field. Those years are broken down into several levels, some of them being more enjoyable than others. Two very important levels that people go through are high school and college. Even though some think that these levels are almost the same, there are significant differences between them. The cost of high school is not the same as the cost of college. Also, some differences apply from an academic point of view. Typically, the social environment also differs from high school to college, which can be related to the question of freedom versus responsibility.
High school and university are two important levels of every education’s foundation in the world. The leap from going to high school for four years to university is definitely a step up. Countless students expect the natural progression from high school to university life to be the same as the one they had while at secondary school. These students are wrong to assume this and will quickly realize these present major changes. University costs more, presents more academic challenges, and offers a greater social environment than high school.
