Should religion decide how we live our lives? Religion was created to help explain what was going on. Now, we have science to explain what is going on in the world. We now understand that earthquake aren't caused by God trying to punish us. Instead, earthquakes occur because of tectonic movements in the earth's crust. Religion has become useless, harmful and a burden for society. Thus, we need to end the practice of religion in our society.
Religion has been used to justify discrimination for many people. In many religions, it is considered a sin to be gay. Many people who are homophobic tend to be very religious, and many people aren't religious tend to be accepting and affirming of homosexuality. When religion interferes with politics, the government's purpose can't be done. By the state's government doing this, they aren't protecting people's right to live. They are allowing children to die. Why are they doing this? Modern medicine could save these children, but instead, the parents are deciding to pray away the illness. Don't they love their children?
