They literally felt crazy. Jackie and Jimmy felt as if whatever was there at the house was playing with them. They hated being home alone, they would go anywhere together because they were scared that something was going to happen to them if they were left alone. Jackie had tried telling her mom about it once, but she just told her it was it was nothing, and that she probably just didn’t like the new house. Her mom told her to just deal with it because they had spent a lot of money buying the house and moving there. Jackie and Jimmy had given up and didn’t even bother asking their parents for help. They gave Jimmy the book and he started searching for something that was going to talk about his house. As he was flipping through the pages, he saw a picture of his house. Jimmy was in a complete shock. Turns out, 5 years before they had moved out, a family lived there too, who also had two young kids, the age of Jackie and Jimmy. Her brother had murdered her during the night. They had taken the little boy to a mental hospital where he would then commit suicide …show more content…
When he did, they both figured that maybe the spirit of the two little kids who had lived there before, were the ones haunting them since they were the same age of Jackie and Jimmy. Both Jackie and Jimmy had agreed that the best way to fix this problem was to take the evidence of the house history to their mom, but she still didn’t believe them. Their mom said “You kids are just looking for reasons for us to move out of the house. Even if all of this is true, I don’t believe in ghost therefore we’re staying to live her and that’s that!” Jackie and Jimmy had became completely used to all the noises and shadows, that they would even talk to them and have conversations with them sometimes. But one day, their mom had got them in trouble for having bad grades and not doing their chores. Their mom was frustrated because she thought Jackie and Jimmy weren’t paying attention in school just because they were too busy trying to figure out what was going on at the house. The kids tried to explain that they weren’t crazy and there really was something there that was normal. Jackie was afraid that not only was there some sort of spirit in their house, but it could be a bad spirit who wasn’t safe to have around. Both Jackie and Jimmy had done a lot of research about the potential dangers that could be or happen if there’s paranormal activity going on. They learned that there can be spirits who are just trying to get their point across and there’s

They found an old wooden boat and Grandma rowed the boat out into the creek. For many young people, the idea of moving is absolutely forbidden. Why would anyone want to start over, again and again, having to make new routines, meet new people and somehow learn to accept that you won’t be with your friends anymore? Most of us would rather avoid the topic all together, but occasionally, it can’t be helped. People move for many reasons; maybe a tragic event occurred that needs to be escaped, maybe job opportunities popped up, or a job itself even requires the move.
Things were strange there, mostly because of their family members. Erma, their grandmother, would often drink and abuse the children while their parents were gone in Arizona. This led to the kids having to rely on each other more heavily because there wasn’t a safe adult to trust. Many other horrible things happened in Welch. Their uncle would kiss Jeannette more than she liked and they walked in on Erma molesting Brian.

Every new graduated high school student wants to get out of their parents’ house. They want independence, and to feel like they are going somewhere in life. Well, that’s what I thought. Moving out was the hardest thing I had done so far. I had just graduated and was barely making any money but I thought oh well so many people move out this young I’m just going to have to work harder, maybe skip school this semester until I can get on my feet to take classes. I knew all too well that I wouldn’t be able to afford it on my own, so I asked my best friend if she wanted to live with me. Little did we both know that living with another person would be a very different experience then living with our parents. We had plenty of fights over messy rooms, the empty fridge, empty bank accounts, and annoying neighbors.
