We guys all shave our face or give our beards the maintenance it deserves. A lot of mornings are spent making sure our facial hair appearance is acceptable. We often take pride in our shaving & beard maintaining routines. It's almost relaxing but, what about shaving below the neck? Should you be shaving below the neck as well?
Why Shave Below the Neck
I'm talking about shaving almost everything below the neck. It's called manscaping and it's about more than what's below the belt. To clear up the real meaning of manscaping it's "shaving ones body hair for cosmetic effect".
This means your chest, stomach, armpits, and yes even the area most associate with the topic. It doesn't mean you're shaving it all off either. If you like to trim your chest

Today's culture really appreciates those who take time and pride to manage their body hair. We're no longer letting it all hang out like we were in the 80's.
The Benefits
There are several benefits to trimming or shaving your body hair. Most of which people haven't considered. Most only think of what it'll look like after shaving but, there's really more to it than that.
You're going to retain less sweat. The less body hair you have the less sweat will get trapped on the hairs. When you sweat a lot you hairs will cause you to begin to smell bad. This is directly a result of the body hairs holding onto the sweat. Not as big of an issue for those who manscape.
You're gong to be more confident. Especially for those who shave their pubic region. You can appear an additional 2" inches larger. Not only that but studies show you begin to have a higher self-esteem which results in more positive energy.
It can be a huge positive influence in your relationship. Women love a guy who manscapes but, I recommended talking it over with your better half to see if they agree. Some women like trimmed and some like bare so it doesn't hurt to bring it up in discussion one

Fortunately you most likely have everything except the body groomer. Other tools you'll need are a disposable razor, favorite shaving cream, and a hand soap.
The key thing to know is to just shave with patience. Taking your time will save you from adding on any unwanted skin irritation or accidental nicks and cuts. When using shaving cream on the body you want to only apply a very thin layer. Adding to much only makes it harder to shave.
We mentioned earlier you'll need a good hand soap. Well it's not for washing your hands. We recommend using hand soap for your privates. The skin in this area is tougher than you think. A thin layer have hand soap is the perfect lather and shaving condition you'll need here.
Always remember when shaving to pull the skin slightly so it's taut. You want to pull only enough to have a nice flat surface to shave on. I know this sounds familiar to shaving your face and that's because it is. It's a best shaving practice that works great for body shaving as well.
The #1 thing you're going to need is that body groomer I linked above. A good body groomer is going to make this job much faster and much easier. I recommend one with a foil shaver on one end and a adjustable guarded shave on the
Secondly, they should be used instead of soap. Finally, emollients should be used in the bath, ideally on a daily basis.
“Any activity that involves going through the hair and over the skin with the hands, lip, tongue, teeth, or tail to clean out extraneous objects such as dirt, particles of sweat-salt, external parasites, or other surface materials is considered grooming”(Simonds 169). Grooming is very important for hygiene. Although many are able to groom themselves they are dependent upon each other because there will always be spots that cannot be seen. As I stated earlier I saw Parental Investment. This is a great example because the mother was grooming her child, but the child does not groom back.
are some people's response to women who do not shave body hair. Many of the
"The barber's trade is an extremely ancient one. Razors have been found among Bronze Age and barbering is mentioned in the Bible by Ezekiel who said "And Thou, son of man, take thee a barber's razor and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thine beard."". The barbers practice dwindled in importance and repute in the light of advancing science, and in 1745, the alliance between surgeons and the barbers was dissolved. The history of today barbers and hairstylists has an combined path of medical practices and evolutions which has created many of today's professional trades. The advanced training of today's stylists and barbers include but are not limited to the human anatomy, personal care, therapy, cutting methods, chemistry, and etc... Even though performing a haircut is not as simple as it looks. A haircut takes time and knowledge so I have to be efficient and productive while performing this task.
. The reality is that some 'men' look at a hairy ass the same way I look at Daniela's!
To shave or not to shave, a topic of debate for many “barracks lawyers”, at the Section lunch outing, and at countless social gatherings for “generations” of Army Soldiers. Soldiers have often voiced their opinions as to whether the early morning ritual of lathering up before the morning formation really has reason or is just another way to “restore” good order and discipline. Army leaders have voiced their concern over the years and have pronounced a resounding “NO” to the idea of Soldiers sporting neatly groomed facial hair, not to mention, a full-grown beard. This has long been a hot topic for Soldiers, but has recently become a subject of debate for upper echelon leaders, such as, the G-1 Uniform Policy, Sergeant Major Anthony Moore, and even Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA) Dan Daily.
Each sex is treated differently for a naturally occurring body process. As discussed, body hair is viewed as masculine, leading to the assumption that women should be hairless and men should wear their body hair with pride. It is clear that society uses hair to label individuals as either male or female (Toerien and Wilkinson, 2003). In addition, male hair is associated with strength and power (Toerien and Wilkinson, 2003). So how come when women display body hair they are shamed, but men are encouraged to grow it? Hope (1982) elaborates that the term, “feminine, when applied to lack of body hair, implies a child-like status, as opposed to the adult status afforded men” (as cited in Toerien and Wilkinson, 2003). That being said, body hair is another way in which society ranks men as the superior gender by making women conform to the hairless normative. A study conducted by Tiggemann and Hodgson (2008), asked women why they practice hair removal. After completing a questionnaire with different statements to evaluate different factors such as normativity, sexual attractiveness, femininity and self-enhancement, they found significant support in all four types of factors for hair removal of the underarm, leg and pubic area. Additionally, they can found that one item pertaining to males preferring a hairless body, was the only one linked to two factors: normativity and sexual attractiveness. It is evident with their findings that women tend to follow the socially constructed normative for many reason, including to please men. The idea is that women have to change their bodies not only to be accepted by society, but they also do so to be accepted by men. Nonetheless, the must make is seem natural and effortless to uphold the beauty allure. In recent years, depletion of male body hair has become popular. In a study performed by Boroughs, et al. (2005), they found that men removed
Within the past five years, there has been a growing trend in facial hair for men. This popular trend has men growing out their facial hair for extended periods of time and this has caused the men’s shaving industry to suffer a loss in sales, (http://www.ibisworld.com/industry/shaving-razor-manufacturing.html). The drop in sales has made it difficult for manufactures to deal with the increasing price of materials such as steel and plastic. Leaders in the industry have begun to combat this problem by creating new innovative products that deal with caring for facial hair and skin.

Soap your hands using either a regular or liquid soap, and rub your hands together to form a lather.
You can buy soaps with added moisturizers, such as Dove, Olay and Neutrogena. If you prefer not to use soap, you can get dry skin cleansers, such as Aveeno or Cetaphil. Antibacterial soaps and deodorants are known for causing dry skin. When you wash, be gentle with your skin and blot yourself with a towel rather than rubbing.
This is a cultural or religious argument, for some, caring for the armpit does not include shaving the pit hair, for others it is mandatory. Armpit hair grows during puberty and is the first sign of maturity, it also help to signals sex because it transmits the scents needed for mating.
