I believe, “Animal Farm is a Shallow, Disappointing Novel,” by Issac Rosenfield is the more convincing book review. He includes many different appeals, arguments, and propaganda. First to start out he has plenty of logical appeals. The main one is how he compares facts from World War 2 to the events in the book. Even though he did not use ethical or emotional appeal, he included propaganda. The main propaganda he uses is repetition. He is constantly saying how he does not have enough, is falling short, and is lacking imagination.

Issac has also talked about his argument, counterargument, and rebuttal. His argument is clearly stated through repetition that it is not finished and is falling short. His counterargument is that it still does have a rebuttal. His rebuttal states that it's a backwards work and it should have been written a long time ago when it was happening. Overall I think with his appeals, arguments, and propaganda makes Rosenfield’s piece more convincing than Greene. …show more content…

Rosenfield states,” What is the point of Animal Farm…” I couldn't agree more with this statement more. I understand the story is suppose to represent the Russian Revolution but, I think using animals and a farm makes it more confusing than it should be.
