Music is created to generate feelings. The singing and music have certain tones to convey certain feelings. These feelings can then relate to someone’s life. The song “Shake It Off’ describes me because I’m constantly reassuring myself that everything will be okay, allowing myself to ignore the people who dislike me, and dancing all the time.
In “Shake It Off”, the line “I got this music in my mind saying it’s gonna be alright” describes me because I’m constantly assuring myself that everything will be okay. I know I will make mistakes, but I know that whatever the mistake that life will carry on and I’ll survive. In life, there are the good times and the bad times, however, at the end of the day everything that has happened will turn out okay. This year, I’ve been taking AP US History. It has really tested my work ethic and my knowledge of history. I knew at the beginning of the semester, that whatever happens throughout the course will turn out alright and I’ll be completing the final assignment before I know it. This idea for the future became the present and everything has turned out alright and I’ve had a good semester. Without my constant reassurance that the semester will turn out alright, I would have

I was born to become my own person, not to become someone I’m not and go through life making sure everyone likes me. I strive my best to not do anything intentionally to cause someone to dislike me. I know people are people and mistakes are made, but I try to limit mine that will affect other people that could cause tensions between me and others. If I spent all my time trying to please everyone, I would end up living a life that was fake and I don’t want to live a fake life. I was taught at an early age to become my own person. I can surround myself with people who have accepted me for me and don’t have to worry about them hating
I think music has a way of explaining something or telling a story. Music can bring up happy times, it can also bring up sad times as well. Certain songs can remind someone of troubling issues from a past, can be the reminder of someone you have lost, it can also be a reminder of many happy times; such as weddings, high school dances, or even just hanging out with friends in the back
Finally, I learned how to be more responsible by myself. In my last classes, my teachers were technically always there to tell me step by step what to do and how to do my assignments. In a certain way, it made me kind of lazy and entirely dependent of my teachers. However in this course it was not like that; instead, my instructor just gave me the assignments, instructions, and deadlines, and I must write my essays and summited it on time. This absence of guide absolutely made me to react that it was time to me to do my assignments by myself, demonstrate what I know, and ask for help just whenever it is
I learned to live this way from my family, mostly my mother. My mother has always taught me that if I don’t act like myself, I’ll attract people who don’t like the real me, but if I act like myself, I’ll attract people who do like the real me. Like my mom, the real me is rather
For as long as I can remember I have set high goals for myself regarding my future, my friendships, and my education. Entering college with these standards I knew that I wouldn’t settle for less than my best, and I would strive to amaze myself at my success. One thing I never fit into my planned path of achievement was any type of struggle, or obstacle that could alter the way I have thought for so long. The first month of college I fell upon an obstacle I never could have imagined. I suffered a knee injury and missed continuous classes following the accident as well as surgery that was necessary to my recovery. These things tested my strength as a person, but also as a student. It made everything a little more complicated, even the little things like getting out of bed in the morning. I pushed myself to see the end of the tunnel I felt seemed impossible to crawl out of. Many things helped me along the way, and just as I hadn’t imagined my accident, I couldn’t have imagined the support I found everywhere around me. I know that I can overcome obstacles in the future now because of my determination for success and the use of helpful resources all around me.

What kind of person are you? Maybe you are the nice girl everyone loves, or maybe you are the mean girl, or you even might be the person who no one ever talks to? The thing is it does not matter who you are, what matters is the quote from Barbara Jordan “We as human beings, must be willing to accept people who are different from ourselves.”. The quote goes with three stories; “What, of This Goldfish, Do You Wish” by Etgar Keret, “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson, and “My So-Called Enemy” by Lisa Gossels.
As we always believe that everything is easy and nothing is impossible for us, until, we realize that we are doomed. In fact, this is a big problem among students, since, many end up failing their courses for this cause. Honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking at the time I chose this and my other mini-term class, all I can say is that this was a very hard six-week journey for me. Although, the professors made it very clear on what to expect, I like many others, accepted the challenge without thinking about the consequences this could bring. Don’t panic, it was not as bad as it seems either, because I had the chance to learn a lot of new things that will definitely help me forge my future. I don’t regret taking this class at all, despite all the setbacks, I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful professor who patiently made our journey more bearable, and my classmates that somehow always contribute to my

A person can do more than just dance to music; they clean, laugh, sing, cry, and make some of the greatest memories while enjoying music. The music you listen to is a reflection of who you are and your own personal thoughts. As I reflect on the music I listen to I came to the conclusion that I gravitate towards songs that depict the emotions we feel through lyrics while being able to relate it to my own personal experiences.
