There is many areas around the vaginal area that can be affected by pain such as the clitoris, labia, or other genital areas, being familiar with the female anatomy is important when explaining the problem to a physician. Most are giving the wrong diagnosed due to lack of knowledge. The first thing girls are told is that sexual intercourse is painful, it’s common. This is true to an extent but there are many causes of vaginismus and more causes for a given patient.
