Introduction

Sexual addiction therapist Sam Louie (2015, August 20) states, “For myself, the term addiction is used to refer to behaviors that at one point in the client's past was beyond his level of insight and/or control. It was beyond his/her ability to take control due to the client's own denial of the problem and inability to share this struggle with another human being and find healthier ways to cope”. In which I agree that addiction itself is a very difficult or mind-boggling condition for most people to really understand. Rentless sexual thoughts influence their capacity to work, maintain relationships with peers, and satisfy their daily activities and responsibilities. Other terms this is recognized by include hyper sexuality, sexual dependency, compulsive sexual behavior, nymphomania for females and satyriasis in men. This addiction can be seen as difficult to be defined due to there being many different types of sexual behaviors. Such as compulsive masturbation, multiple affairs, having many different sexual partners also defined as one nightstands, outstanding use of pornography, practicing or visiting prostitution, cyber sex, and exhibition and practicing unsafe sex (Christian Nordqvist 2017). You can be able to detect distinct signs to decided weather you, a friend or family member is struggling with this addiction. For example if your sexual behavior is severely interfering with you life, and if you cant change your sexual habits even if you are aware of the negative outcomes, or if you can no longer control your thoughts of sexual behaviors enough to participate in your everyday activities such as your job and personal relationships, you have an
