Basically, the community has set the standard for men based on gender-stereotypes trails, such as men are supposed to be strong and active etc. ( http://www.coolloud.org.tw/node/58563) In the cultural ethos of Hong Kong, people are seems difficult to accept service provided by male sex workers than female sex workers. It is because people with a frame to treat men about what type of work they supposed to do. It also reflects sexism, an ideological belief that men are by nature superior to women. For instance, general consensus of society is supposed men need to pay through labor, like construction or other labor industries to earn salaries, rather than engage in the work with same nature of female sex workers. When men engaged in this sex industry, they are also being contemned and discriminated against, human rights are exploited, but may get social pressure more than female sex workers as people have biased vision on them. Chinese Prostitutes in the 1900s In California, between the 1850’s and the Chinese Exclusion Act, most of the Chinese women who came to San Francisco were either slaves or indentured. They were often lured, kidnapped or purchased and forced to work as prostitutes at the brothels which are run by the secret society of the Tongs of San Francisco. Chinese prostitutes also were smuggled and had worked at the Chinatown brothels in the Comstock Mines in Nevada. Chinese prostitutes are commonly known as prostitutes of the lowest order. “Both outcast slatterns and Asian slaves stood at the edge of the irregular marketplace, far more socially stigmatized than ordinary prostitutes.”
Sex is described as “the primitive task for women” (Epic of Gilgamesh 63). The definition of sex in the Epic of Gilgamesh is a way to show that a main role of women in ancient Mesopotamia times was to provide pleasure for men, but to also provide children (Grandfield). The temple prostitute, Shamat, was not in the story to portray mankind’s sin of lust, but to demonstrate the need for women so a society can survive.
Human rights are by definition rights that every human being has and can not and should not ever be taken away by any one no matter who that person is. Unfortanitly this is not true for every person in the world and even in the United States of America where it is the land of the free. Many women in the United States of America have a very important human rights taken away from them with out them having a choice. Many women in the United States of America are pulled into the sex trafficking underworld with out them having choice and them not wanting to be in such a world. The sex trafficking underworld dark cold world that should not exist but it does exist and is a real part of the United States of America. No body likes to talk about
Prostitution has been as issue in many societies around the world for almost all of recorded history. There has been evidence of brothels and prostitution dating far back into human history. Many different societies have different views, ideals, and reservation about the matter. Some cultures around the world view it as a necessary evil for people who need to support themselves and their families. Others view it as morally evil and socially destructive; helping to rot our society from the inside out. Even still there are cultures who don’t view it as evil at all and even a normal part of life. A person’s view on the act is formed largely based on the culture they are living in. Even sub cultures inside of larger one can have different view on the matter, such as religious groups that denounce it, to some groups in the same culture that say it is okay. Even the gauge of how industrialized a country can determine how that culture views prostitution, with many third world countries being more lenient on the matter, and many first world countries being much more strict on the matter, such as the some of the countries in Europe and also the United States.

The perception most Romans had regarding prostitution seems to be incredibly contradictory. On one hand prostitution was seen a necessary part of society that was extremely valuable to the preservation of marriage (Laurence, 71). On the other hand Roman laws and social customs put prostitution at the bottom rung of society (Flemming, 56).

This is true for all African countries that are non-Muslims. In South Korea, being a prostitute is referred as being a businesswoman. It is not a respected profession but not disrespected either. In Netherlands prostitution has always been legal. Since 1988, it has been officially defined as a legal profession and prostitutes joined the Service Sector Union.
When Max Weber looks at the conflict within power and class, Feminist sociologists usually look on power and gender. Many Feminist believe the men or women coming into a sexual transaction are as bad as the prostitutes themselves because of the part they play. Feminist argue that most societies teaches boys to have control and or dominate girls and women, and they are expected to keep continuing this well into their adulthood. Society also teaches the girls that being submissive to the boys and or men is the way, and to continue these thoughts into adulthood. The jest of prostitution and a male centered society support each other very well. That’s because prostitution supports and encourages ideas that women should be considered to be lesser than a man or be
Prostitution Prostitution dates back to as early as 2400 BC and has formed an interesting chapter in the history of civilization. Prostitution is known to be one of the oldest professions and roughly started all the way back to the 18th century in Mesopotamia. This was where every woman, rich or poor, had to reach once in their lives the sanctuary of Mylitta (Aphrodite) and submit themselves into the embrace of a foreigner as a symbolic sign of hospitality and respect towards the goddess. In the Ancient Near East, sacred prostitution was a common thing for women to show their dedication to the deities.
When discussing the adult sex industry one must understand the differences between human trafficking, sex slavery, and prostitution. An individual also has to taken into consideration why another individual would choose prostitution as means of income verses any other job that doesn’t include the buying and selling of sex. One must be able to empathize with the individuals who choose prostitution and be able to take into consideration some factors that may lead an individual to prostitution as a means of economic trade. Such factors might include; the country these individuals live in, their living conditions, education, social and economic status and various other reasons. Apparently, there are some ways within which sex work is helpful to girls. there's no logical basis for the argument against sex work or the criminalization of the sector. I actually have evidenced that sex work isn't essentially consumptive of girls. Sex employees face a danger of exploitation these days solely attributable to the criminalization and branding of sex add our society. Laws that criminalize harlotry and alternative types of sex work are superannuated, impractical, and harmful.

According to ProCon.org, prostitution was a profession that dated back to 2400 B.C. Though many things since then have changed, the practice of selling sex has been more or less the same. What has changed is the way that people now view the practice. Throughout the years the debate has been whether prostitution should become legal or illegal. Organizations like Amnesty International want to push forward the idea of legalizing consensual “sex work” between two adults who are willingly participating because it would help keep those in that line of work safer than they are now. While on the other side of the issue there are
