The best way to have a strong family relationship is by listening and trying to understand each other no matter what because it prevents us from so many problems and pain in our lives and in the lives of the people we love. This is shown in the four texts that I have studied: Secrets And Lies,Good Will Hunting,The Castle,The Particular Sadness Of Lemon Cake. The writers chose this point to show that by being honest with the people around us it will help us to solve the problem instead of making it complicated and this way we can prevent ourselves and the people around us from suffering and the pain that we can face. It’s important to have a strong family relationship with strong bond we need to try to understand each other without judging …show more content…
In Secrets And Lies, Monica is a housewife who seems to have everything that she wants, from the first view of Monica we can see that she have a difficult personality, even that she have money, house and a husband who loves her so much, but the reality is different because Monica, who we see is a happy and have everything that anyone can want but, she is in reality miserable because she doesn’t have the one thing that she is seeking for which is a child. In The Particular Sadness Of Lemon Cake we can see have another character who is very similar to Monica,Rose mother when we first read the book we can see that Rose mother is a very happy housewife who can do anything she wants, and follow her passion, but the truth is different , which is that Rose mother is living a miserable life and that she is seeking for help from the inside. From that we can understand that the people doesn’t as happy as they seem from the inside and as an example, we can see that in “Secrets And Lies” when MORRIS who is a photographer, in the scene when he was taking the photo of the people they seems so happy when he first press the button but before Morris press the button the people seem so …show more content…
The connection between the two texts: The Castle and Good Will Hunting is that, in Good Will Hunting ,Will is an orphan, troublemaker because he didn't grow up surrounded by a family that can protect him and love him when he was a child and he didn’t get the love that every child has the right to get,due to that he can’t commit in any relationship and that shown when his girlfriend Skylar tells Will that she loves him,but he refuses and leaves her room. But he started to change once he learns how to love and trust the people around him. While in The Castle we can see that they are surrounded by love and they are living a happy life because of their strong bond and their love for each other is unconditional. We can see that in the two texts “Secrets And Lies” and “The Castle” the effect of having a secret and without having a secret, how that can affect our life and our family relationship and . For example, in The Castle the family doesn’t have any secrets to hide from each other which affect their relationship in a positive way because their understanding and sharing their pain allow them to have a strong family
There will always be peace in the family. When we obey our parents, we make their lives so much easier. We avoid many problems in the family. Sometimes we think that we know what is right for us. Sometimes, we think that we know everything.
Susan Griffin speaks about a girl, Laura. The way Griffin talks about her is a way of despair and sadness. Griffin talks about her as if she was close off by the world. As if she trained not to ask or wonder what is happening outside those four walls. Instead, she should go about her childhood and act like nothing is happening. Nobody is actually telling her the truth, it is affecting her without showing. This quote fits with the title Our Secret. As the answer to her questions would hurt her childhood experience.
“A happy family is but an earlier heaven”(Brown). The importance of family is shown in the book “Into the Wild”,and how it is important to keep this relationship. Chris’s relationship with his family was terrible, and led to him regretting it. It also tells a story about Chris and his journey to live in the wild in Alaska. There are many people that he met that impact his life on his way. Although to do this he stopped contacting his family, and his relationship with them was ruined. It is possible to have a close relationship with your parents or family by keeping in touch, spending quality time with them, and talking to them about any concerns or problems that come up.
Both stories deal with a young girl who, with the help of a little magic, is able to find her prince and live happily ever after. Needless to say on of these versions is much darker than the other, but the story sends an overall good message.
understand the family as a whole you have to look closely at the relationships within try he
Families come in all shapes and sizes. The dynamics range from an open, perfect, dream family, all the way to broken homes. The way people are treated, or are treated by their family affects the way they act throughout their lives. They grow up knowing only the ways that their families taught us, even if those things were wrong. They do not know any better, so of course they have to listen to them.
Family is important in every culture, it shapes people and makes them who they are.
Both stories tell of forbidden lovers who made plans to run away together. In both stories, their plans sadly failed due to misunderstandings and resulted in their deaths. The two stories are almost exact replicas of each other. It helped to understand where Shakespeare might have gotten his inspiration from and it also helped to see the story told in 2 different ways. It allowed us as readers to grasp this tragedy in a play and in a myth.
Family is the beginning of everyone’s journey in life and is probably the most significant of the hats you wear. Everyone starts as either a daughter or a son. People are born with two parents, although some have only a single parent raising them. In either case, the lessons you learn from your parents will remain with you throughout your life. They are at the core of who you are and of who you will become. Even those who come from an abusive environment can take away valuable lessons, to make their life and the lives of their children better. No matter how bad or how good your upbringing, you will always be their son or daughter.
The Good Will Hunting is a very touching film that is based upon the life of the main character Will Hunting. Will is a young man who struggles on a daily basis to overcome his haunting past and continue his journey to find his place in the world. He grew up as an orphan and went through many foster homes, and was abused and abandoned by his parents. He now lives in a more underprivileged neighborhood in Boston called Southie. Throughout the film Will reveals many signs about his personality that allow viewers to evaluate him and relate his personality to many studies and theories in psychology.

When the word “family” is discussed, most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. Without family in people's lives, they would not be the same people that they grew up to be today and in the future. When people hear the word family they think about, the ones who will help them in any way they can whether it’s money, support, advice, or anything to help them succeed in life. Family will forever be the backbone of support.
I healthy family is not perfect. Families will fight and argue, and that's okay. Families may have little arguments about what show to watch on tv or they might have bigger arguments about serious issues. Families are allowed to disagree. Although this may be true, there is a difference in the way healthy families disagree. Healthy families listen to each other. When there is a disagreement they listen to what the other person has to say. Healthy families compromise to reach and agreement. They are not too proud to admit they were wrong. Families apologize when they hurt one another. Even though they may be altercations they still love each other and want the best for them. Unhealthy families are unable to resolve a disagreement. They are unable to compromise in order to move forward. They battle so far they forget they love each other. Families, just like people, are not perfect. Nonetheless, there are proper ways to hash out
I like to think of family as the people God gives you to take care of in life. Psalms 11:29 states, “Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be the servant to the wise.” It is important to honor family. However, one does have a duty to help all fellow man if he is in the position to do so. Although, all members of the family are usually busy, family members should gather together in a meeting to discuss ways that they can spend quality time with each other. One of the best ways to bond within a family is to vacation together. This gets the family out of their normal habitat, usually in a setting where they do not know many other people. Therefore, the family members have to communicate with one another. It is also important to have time where daily such as over dinner where everyone is free of from distractions. During this time all cell phones and other electronics should be put away, in order to facilitate open
Above all people, I trust my family. At times, our relationship is frustrating because I feel that we give different amounts of effort. This
