I am Savanna Tozzolo and I am currently enrolled in Health Science 1, period 6. I believe that I am a qualified person for continuing onto the next level of the health and medical science program at SCHS because I am a good leader, respectful, compassionate, trustworthy, honest, self-disciplined and unique. When put in group I am a natural leader, members often agree that I’m the best at it. As a leader or member of a group the others can always count on me to do my part and contribute as much as I possibly can. I believe that respect and honesty are great qualities. I respect everyone and I tell everyone the truth no matter who they are. I want to make the world a better place and it couldn’t prosper without the people within it having those …show more content…
qualities. As for being compassionate, no one has more of a desire to learn in this program than I do. It is the one class I look forward to and feel sad when I cannot attend. I love this program and if able to advance I will pour my heart and soul into it like I have been doing. I believe good students possess self-discipline, I manage my time well and I am very aware and organized. I know that everything will not go my way but I also know that I can accomplish a lot. I think before I say and I do my work before I play. I feel I should be selected over a few of my classmates currently enrolled because not many possess qualities such as mine. Personally, most of them lack originality and I feel as though some are only smart. What I mean is that they don’t seem to actually care about the program, they just want to get good grades and then go home. I may not be the best student academically wise but trust that my personality has much more to offer and together they make the great student that I have become and currently am. I’ve noticed that some of them lack compassion and many just seem to not be invested in this program which is a problem. I love all of my peers but I do have confidence that I am better qualified than some. I have also found that many “straight A” students lack extracurricular work. I on the other hand do many extracurricular activities that I am equally as dedicated to. This illustrates that I am a great multi-tasker. This is another useful quality that I can use in level 2 and level 3. As I’ve said plenty of times and I probably will say plenty of more times, moving on to level 2 and eventually level 3 is very ideal. I’m determined to get in and my anticipation will hopefully push me to work harder. Obtaining this certification would not only be an honor but it would be a gift. It would lead me into the direction of the medical field and allow me to help people. I feel that it would be a huge boost of confidence as well and it would inspire me to work even further and harder. Becoming a CNA would be a great opportunity for me to help others and meet people and become an even greater person. My only goal is to make the world a better place and by going into the nursing field it would help me benefit the world as much as I can. This program is amazing because it’s inexpensive and it gives you experience and a chance to pursue your dreams even sooner than most have been able to in the past. As I think about it, I am very grateful for this program because a lot of people did not have this opportunity which is unfortunate. I look forward to having a chance to represent the nursing program. Some of the strengths that I can bring to the program are; my self-discipline, my respectfulness, my natural leading ability, my honesty, my compassion and my idiosyncratic personality. Self-discipline is a great characteristic because it means someone can think about their words/actions and make choices that are the best for themselves and 87+for others. Being a natural born leader I can direct my peers into acing assignments and tests. I would love to help my classmates understand topics they do not understand.
I want to be a giver. I hope to help the program in any way I possibly can. To have the ability to represent this program would give me influence to be the best person I can be. Of course, as any human being does, I have weaknesses such as; my loss of influence, my occasional laziness, and my forgetfulness. A problem that I am in the process of fixing is my inability to stick with something for a long period of time. I like chasing for something but then after chasing so long I grow impatient and quit trying. This program, however, will not be like that, I will not let that happen and I doubt that will happen because it is so unlikely. I would be more than willing to do any task asked of me. My respectfulness would assist me in that because I respect everyone. I also said previously that I am very trustworthy and reliable. Any task asked of me is obviously going to mean something and I’ll gain something from it so of course I would be willing to do any task asked of me. I might ask questions but any human would. For the most part I think I would be more than glad to do a task given to me. When completing any task I will have a determined
mindset. When completing any assignment I always remind myself that everything will pay off somehow in the end, my philosophy is that you can never waste your time. Everything that I do will make my future, it is similar to the String Theory. You probably already know that I am very compassionate. I think any patient I help would be in good hands, I’m extremely empathetic. I would like to possibly take a psychology class to learn how to better understand patients and comfort them. Any patient or health team member is first of all treated with respect as well as like a friend of mine. After all it would help me empathize with them and it would benefit how my patients communicate with me. I don’t want to simply just get one of my dream jobs, I want to be the best at my job one of my dream jobs. I constantly aspire to be the best that I can be. Once I complete a task then I am immediately on to the next, goal by goal. I have immense respect for any teacher and I would most definitely obey any orders give to me. I do this because I hope that when I become someone’s instructor that someone will do the same for me. Not just instructors/teachers have my respect, everyone does. I am not interested in being someone who is desperate to impress or someone who kisses up to their elders purely to get something. I do believe that I am emotionally, physically and mentally ready to handle caring for a patient. Of course there will be occasions where it will be difficult but overall I will prepare. I’ve been through a lot of things and knowing that helps me think that some things aren’t all that bad and I can persevere. I have no choice but to be ready, this is what I want to do and sometimes I will not be able to but I can always pull through because I always do. For example, if I have a patient who is in a lot of pain and it is evidently upsetting them I will first get them medication then I will hold their hands and tell them that it’s only temporary and I will tell them how if they’ve lived this long they can pull through with no problem. I don’t want my patients to just be satisfied, they deserve to be treated just like anyone else and they deserve to be treated with care and empathy. I want to spread love through the medical field and the world overall. My life sometimes seems like one big disappointment but I know that sometimes I can’t always come out on top, it’s up to the decisions I make and even though they sometimes seem ideal they may not be positive for the future. I think that everything that I’ve learned in Health Science 1 will help me complete any and all tasks that I will be handed in the future. What is even better is that what I have and will learn will be useful until the day I die. This year if I could change one thing that I did in my Health Science class it would be how my classmates and I did not communicate or act like one big family. When I am put in a group I first want to establish a relationship with everyone in the group. How would you get something done if no one wants to work with any one? I wouldn’t be able to. If able to go back in time I would most definitely be more friendly and less introverted. I try to help my classmates all the time but I don’t feel like I am helping enough. I want to be an outstanding student who can contribute even by doing the smallest tasks and favors. From my eyes, my class is too antisocial and more people need to be more extroverted and have more of an interest of growing all together as one big family, now that is how you get work done amazingly and efficiently. I hope to eventually have socials and outings together possibly. It’s hard because we can’t get too comfortable because not all of us are going to make it to level 3 which disappoints me very very much but that’s just how it goes. Personally, I think that am more proactive or well I have grown to be. I remember being reactive though, mostly in middle school. As someone who is proactive I am almost always prepared for the best and worst. Every once in a while I will procrastinate with leans me towards reactive but that is a quality that I do not approve of and am currently trying to work out and fix. Naturally, I am always anticipated the next move within any plan that I am interacting with. I do truly frown upon reactive people because most of the time they are just taking advantage of an event. If I ever was rewarded for something I didn’t earn then I would respectfully give it back because I’m sure someone else worked much harder than me and I’m sure it means a lot more to someone else. Also, as a proactive person I don’t just anticipate the big picture, I anticipate every detail as well because problems may arise if I don’t pay attention to all the small parts as well. I defined someone/ a student as proactive if they are enthusiastic about learning, trying to get everything done as soon as possible, engages in extracurricular activities, and makes an effort to give back to people. Someone who is reactive is more of someone who is not spontaneous, someone who shows no enthusiasm in what they do, pushes back a task and sometimes lies about things. These are the people who I think only attend school to get good grades which like I have said before is pathetic. As I begin to wrap this up I want to thank you for your time and this opportunity to continue on within this amazing program, I promise to cherish and love this program with all of my heart.
I represent the characteristics of NJHS because I show good leadership, character, citizenship, confidence, and focus. I respect everyone for who they are, and I treat everyone the same way. I have a commitment to learning. I will do everything I can to make good grades, and achieve my goal. Throughout everyday tasks in the classroom, or outside of school, I step up and lead those who need to be led. I constantly find new opportunities to lead others and help the situation any way I can. Every summer the band has a marching band camp for a week straight that we must all attend. Being an experienced band member, I step up and assist all underclassmen and show then where to go and what they need to be doing. Instead of getting frustrated when giving the freshman directions, I am calm and collect and walk them step by step until they understand, something most leaders would not have time or patience for. With many plans to help others and lead within my community, I believe that I have what it takes to be a strong, and powerful leader for the National Honor Society.
In conclusion, I believe that I can offer a wealth of expertise and experience in contributing towards the continued development of a cohesive, dynamic and collaborative school that focuses on offering outstanding world class learning opportunities for all. I consider myself to be a good role model to students and staff alike and I am committed to leading by example. This, combined with my drive, infectious optimism and commitment to playing a full role within the school beyond those duties set out, make me a strong candidate for the post.
Ten years ago I was sitting in a classroom striving to understand the English language and how to read and write properly. I am a Mexican immigrant who came into the United States following the “American Dream” in search of a better life. I am a hard working individual with a passion for service and self-determination to make a difference in people’s lives. I come from a family that values unity and service to others. Caring for other people is what I love to do and it’s what makes me feel I have a real purpose in life. A career as a health care professional will fulfil both my personal and professional goals.
I am qualified to be accepted into the National Honor Society based on character because I am motivated, organized, and optimistic. I am excited to begin a new chapter in my life entering into college with an intended major in mind; becoming a physician’s assistant is what I plan to do with the rest of my life. I began to sort out where I would like to attend college and volunteer to better my chances of admission as well as practicing for the SAT and
I hope that by sharing my personal statement, I have been able to give you an insight into the person I am and what I hope to achieve. I have included what I have felt to be the most significant influences on my career choice. I expect undergraduate school to continue to be a journey which I embark upon with great
Most people that are striving to enter into any part of the medical field do so for the love and compassion for others. Wanting to help others, especially in a time of need and also being able to work with others who share the same interests and goals. In general, being able to have a career in doing what they love and believe in, but for me there is so much more than that. At first glance I probably seem quite similar to any of the other applicants that are probably well deserving in their own rights; although I have a unique background all my own that tells a story of why I am here, seeking opportunity.
I have accomplished a lot in a short period; however, my journey is not complete until I continue my education. Essentially, this degree will help foster my growth and career success. My passion and dedication will speak for itself. My hard work and determination will prevail and I am a fit more than the next applicant because I have the passion, experience, critical thinking and analytical skills needed to complete this program through successfully arguing my capstone in front of a board or committee. My goals are definitely aligned with this program and I hope my next read is an acceptance letter from the admissions council.
These experiences have contributed to my decision to pursue an advanced degree in the healthcare/biomedical field and helped to clarify the path towards accomplishing my goals. As I progressed in my position, I continued to associate with peers/colleagues, scientist, administrators and other professionals, I continued to gather experiences in the administrative or lab support roles, and these experiences helped me to cement my interest in healthcare administration/ or biomedical support
Because of the difference in the way teachers taught student, I had difficulty in catching up with students but as the time passed, I was able to assimilate myself into this new culture and was able to get the highest in Chemistry and Physics Advanced Placement classes. Even in the college, I tried my best to become one of the top students and as a result, I was able to get All Florida Academic Team award. This award was awarded to only thirty students in the Florida out of which two students were from the Valencia College. Among those two students from the Valencia College, I was selected to be one of them. All this encouragement and awards further made it possible for me to pursue this path of becoming the medical
I am a firm believer that anything can be achieved with hard work and determination. I am passionate, open minded, optimistic and have an agreeable personality. Being a sportsman and organizing and participating in many other activities during my medical school, I have acquired the qualities which make me a good team player who also can lead his team to realize their full potential.
