In Ray Bradbury’s All Summer in a Day the reader learns that sadness and depession can come from bullying. There are many reasons why I think this and here are some of them.

One example of this is
“That was Magot’s poem, read in a clutch voice in the still classroom the rain was falling outside.
Aw you didn’t write that”
The quote means that one of the boys were making fun of Margot’s amazing poem about the sun but it wasn’t appreciated by anyone else. Another example of this is when the kids pushed and shoved Margot because she didn’t want to speak to them.

While someone might argue that the theme is jealousy they forget that in the text is says that Margot was sad when the class bullied her. When the kids locked Margot in the closet,
